Lincoln University (DII, PA) hired a new volleyball coach. You know you are getting a quality volleyball coach, when the picture of the coach is from her coaching softball. lulions.com/index.aspx?path=wvball&

Getting Page 1 updated.
I've gotten through DI, II, & III. Will work on NAIA and others later today.
If a job is still lived as open, I can't find the hiring. there are some jobs that were open and filled that were missed. especially at the DII, DIII, and below levels.
if you know of any, please let me know.

Whatever happened to that "done deal" at Penn? No announcement has been posted. Not sure who they hired, but they did. Kerry contacted the other applicants earlier this week.

Actually I stand corrected by myself...Marika, then Ariel then Aiyana, so its been 3 consecutive years. All from New Jersey...all at Penn State... Well, lets see: Does Marika even count? Yes she is at Penn State, but is she really a Penn State Player? I'd say no, since she will never get to play. Ariel and Aiyana are there more for their athletic ability than their volleyball skills. Both are exceptional athletes who happen to play volleyball. And Russ knows he can make them VB players. (as opposed to someone like Dorton who came in as a very good volleyball player) Neither of these players have been playing VB for a long time. Neither has had great coaching to refine their skills. (case in point: Scott's "unfortunate" (Rose's words) arm swing.) If either of those kids had played High School/Club ball in other parts of the country, they would be much better volleyball players. Same goes for a kid like Baily Webster. Same kind of VB atmosphere in Maryland. Same kind of potential in someone late to the game. ridiculous overstatements and generalizations. I thought Roberta Holehouse was pretty skilled, maybe the Maryland she was was from is in a different part of the country. Blair Brown was ok out of Virginia, Scott stepped in and started as a freshman winning a title. There are some great teams and coaching in that part of the country, just like there are some lousy ones in California, Indiana and Texas. Someone asked in another thread if PA ever produces any elite players. Were do you folks live.

On the topic of jobs, I saw that Rick Cole, the AD at Dowling is the interim coach, any ideas where Alex went?

At BYU, the women's AC position will be filled by Heather Olmstead. She came from Utah, where she was the A1 coach. Looks like it will be a family affair at BYU. I believe that Rob Nielson is staying on as the A1 coach for the men's team. Wow that is an interesting move for heather, do you think it was to get out while you can move for her to avoid the PAC 12 thrashing that will occur over the next few years? This is my last post for a while. I actually have to start doing some work.
The new coach at University of Southern Maine is a guy named Tom Gardner. Now, there's a Tom Gardner who is a high school and club coach in Arizona, but I don't believe it's him. Why would he leave a good gig for a part-time bag-o-garbage?
There's also a Tom Gardner who was involved with Niagara Frontier VBC. I think that's our guy.
