Assuming C-USA has a tournament, then Tulsa has to win it to make it to the tournament. They aren't anywhere CLOSE to getting an at-large berth. Who cares about who they beat in their non-conference schedule. Who did they beat in their conference schedule? UCSB and Washington State, that's about it. Both with RPI rankings in the 60s.

Who cares about who they beat in their non-conference schedule. Who did they beat in their conference schedule? The committee does not take teams who have not even played a top 50 team, much less not beaten one. hogwash,, the committee let in clemson in 2009 who didnt beat, or play anyone. Except that you are completely wrong, of course. Here are some of the opponents they played last year. All I can find are end of the season RPIs, which are probably a little lower than before the tournament RPIs, but not by much. 49 GA Tech 31 Duke 41 Michigan St 46 Miami-FL W 3 Florida St 3 Florida St 46 Miami-FL W 49 GA Tech So Clemson last year was 2 - 7 against teams in the top 50. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the reason you guys don't get it is because you spend too much time making stuff up, instead of actually looking at facts. Bringing up 2009 Clemson does not in any way address my claim that the committee won't give an at-large berth to someone who hasn't played anyone in the top 50. They actually had a lot of matches against teams in the top 50. Shoot, Iowa St this year is only going to have 10 matches against teams in the top 50.

That means that SMU is still mathematically still alive, I guess, but Tulsa can clinch this weekend.
