I agree, Chang might be a walk-on playing as a DS/3rd setter for Stanford. Nonetheless a great athlete who will be an asset for this team. She's a great beach player from what I've heard.
Still hoping for Morgan Hentz for 2016 as the Libero.

Who is Raquel (2015 commit, according to above; is that a last name?) Coaches must go nuts watching recruiting videos. I watch the one for Chang and what I see is an OH absolutely burying the ball on a regular basis. Baywatcher, that OH is Alyce Ford a 2015 OH committed to USC. They played Laguna Beach 18's.

No question, Ford is a bomber.

Thanks for the Laguna Beach info. Just what USC needs, another arm. Maybe they are going with an 8-2 offense.

Some mentioned above could be Sand only for Stanford.

Have to believe that when there is an NCAA championship at stake, Stanford will get serious about sand volleyball. I guess having two way players isn't working out for nearly any serious sand school, but I don't see a problem with letting your inside scholies play sand only in the spring. Do the scholarship sand players play sand only all year around?

FWIW, I checked the Stanford directory, and Catherine L. Raquel is an enrolled undergraduate student.

FWIW, I checked the Stanford directory, and Catherine L. Raquel is an enrolled undergraduate student. She is moving on to campus this weekend. She will be playing sand this spring and is likely to be a sand-only athlete. She got into Stanford on her own.

Stanford will be fine, just ask them. You needed 230 pages to state the obvious?

Excited for 2015. We finally have another number 1 recruit in Hayley Hodson. Last time was Alix Klineman in 2007, I believe. I couldnt be more excited about Hayley. Its about time to get a very good all around OH who can put the ball down consistently.

This was about 3 months ago in Minneapolis. Hodson is playing with Tstreet (black jersey #3). See at 2:00 she elevates and blasts a back row attack... also a nice attack at 3:10.

Burgess was #3, behind Mccage of Texas (#1) and Stanford teammate Inky Ajanaku.
