Excited for 2015. We finally have another number 1 recruit in Hayley Hodson. Last time was Alix Klineman in 2007, I believe. I couldnt be more excited about Hayley. Its about time to get a very good all around OH who can put the ball down consistently. You sound a little ungrateful for a lot of great recent recruiting classes...was getting the #2,3,5, 10, and 12 recruits in 2012 chopped liver?!

Is there any video available for the Stanford vs Duke game tonight? I don't even see a link for live stats on the Stanford website.

Wasn't Jordan Burgess the #1 recruit as well? Burgess was #3, behind Mccage of Texas (#1) and Stanford teammate Inky Ajanaku. Still strange that Mccage was even top 5 to me...

On the Pac 12 website , it says there will be a live stream (video provided by the school) tonight. Hopefully it's a free video?

I always assumed that by a player winning the Gatorade player of the year award that they would automatically be considered the top recruit..thanks for clarifying!

I do not know if they are streaming video. KZSU is carrying it on radio, available online.

FWIW, I checked the Stanford directory, and Catherine L. Raquel is an enrolled undergraduate student. She is moving on to campus this weekend. She will be playing sand this spring and is likely to be a sand-only athlete. She got into Stanford on her own. Congratulations to Raquel. That's impressive.

After watching Lutz hit from the left side against Duke, here is a crazy idea. Lutz at OH, McGehee at MB, Benjamin sub for Lutz in back row, Howard sit on the bench until she gets out of her passing funk. Just kidding of course. It would be difficult to have three players receive serve in every rotation with that lineup and it is probably better to let Howard work her way out of the passing slump. To Howard's credit she played well against Santa Clara yesterday. I hope this marks the start of a more consistent, confident Howard. She has the ability to be a good passer; I saw it her freshman year. Interview with Burgess after Santa Clara match. Click on video and wait about 10 seconds for video to start. www.gostanford.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=30600&ATCLID=209651089
