I will start worrying for 2017 after the rumored 2016 recruits will commit. Right now, Stanford is very vulnerable because the top 2 uncommitted players are getting a lot of looks from other coaches. I'm disappointed about Sun, but if Stanford lands all of their 2016 wish list, then they should be Final Four material ... but beating Penn State and maybe Texas will not be easy. Maybe everything will become much clearer once the 2015 season begins.

And that 2017 opening appears to be going to Attar? I hope Dunning saw something in Froistad the senior aces voters missed. I'm still trying to figure out who could be Stanford's #2 OH in 2016?

Is Froistad '15 or '16?

Getting a little antsy. April's just around the corner - could be a big cashout month for Dunning and co. for that 2016 class.

I've seen video of her mainly as a MB with a few LS hits thrown in. I'm not sure she is 6'2" ... she looks more like 6'1". Her body type looks somewhat similar to McGehee's. She is slightly on the stocky side which means her arms aren't that long. IMO she doesn't have the foot speed to be a great left side hitter. Her blocking technique is pretty solid, so I see her role as a backup MB or RS hitter. Alade, OTOH, has speed and jumping ability, so maybe she is someone who can be converted to the left side -- I think we'll find out in August 2015 how the CARDs will be played.

It is safe to say that she is interested, a few people I have spoken to in So Cal say the door is still open for her. Is it enough to raise two eyebrows and an "oh really?".....probably not but it sure makes things interesting.

When they had that 2012 class commit, I think most were sort of "locked-in" fairly early except for Howard who was close to being a Bruin. This 2016 class is a little more up in the air. Of the 4 being discussed, Fitz and Plummer are the two playing their cards close to the chest while Gray and Hentz seem halfway through the door already.

I don't see anyone here claiming to be 100% sure. I heard in past years the coaching staff tells players not to make any public announcement until all the recruits of their class have received notice from admissions. Occasionally a player or parent will slip up and jump the gun in saying something to a reporter but it doesn't happen often.

A classic; will Stanford ever attract a player like Oganna again?

A classic; will Stanford ever attract a player like Oganna again? The Goofs were looking pretty good in the 1st set ... but then for some reason they couldn't hold. D. Hooker was dominate like Nnamani and almost got the Horns a title over the Imperial Dynasty a few years back. But to answer your question, yes there is a player in Cuba right now who could dominate college women's volleyball.

When you look at the talent Texas and the Imperial Dynasty either have, or are about to bring in, it doesn't look good.

Does that mean we might be hearing something very soon?
