This is awesome in so many ways. Spoke with Alisha and her husband Josh Childress (Stanford Basketball Alum) during this past high school season. She was coaching a pretty good Sierra Canyon team I believe. She’s such a pleasant person and watching her coach she was very technical and stern yet calm and collected. She’ll fit in perfectly!!!!! LETS GO CARD! Side Note** Watching Miner play for two seasons I’ve always thought she had the potential to be an Alisha Glass type of player. Physical, athletic, strong and a great leader. Future looks bright for Stanford.

Early season tournament should be even more fun at Penn State this year.

... She was coaching a pretty good Sierra Canyon team I believe... AC for a couple of years at Orange Lutheran and HC for a year at Crean Lutheran. Sierra Canyon was in the state Open playoffs and finished ranked 8th in California. Crean Lutheran finished #447 in California last year. Nothing wrong with that, but they weren't nearly the level of Sierra canyon. Woops yes you are correct! Her team was pretty good, def not elite. But for the athletes she had they played really well against St. Joseph’s from Lakewood who won their CIF division just 2 years ago.

I thought Miner was Duke bound? Might be thinking of Millie Muir?

Early season tournament should be even more fun at Penn State this year. Yes, assuming that's a locked location. I know Happy Valley would logically be next location for B1G/Pac-12 Challenge since it would be 4 years since last one there, but I suppose it could also be in Minnesota.

Anyone know when the schedule will be released? I assume Penn State's schedule will appear before Stanford's.

Stanford's schedule is typically not released until June. But we may get a preview of the non-conference schedule at the banquet.

That is the rumor, but where? As you know RED doesn't go on the road very frequently during preseason. They have never played at Maples Pavilion and almost all Stanford/RED encounters, like the recent one in Minneapolis, are tilted in RED's favor due to number of their fans in attendance.

Hope so, because that at least makes the site pretty neutral for a RED showdown. Anyway, I'll probably travel to Kitty Lion country because that's a guarantee of four solid teams at one event.
