Kamerynn Miner to Stanford??? I don’t know about that. Here’s my 2 cents. Miner wants to be a starter freshman year. She doesn’t want to warm the bench watching Xu lead the team for two years.
Texas or USC seem more likely scenarios. While her father will not influence Kami’s decision, he would be happy for her to be a Trojan.
Miner plays for Mizuno Long Beach 17s coached by Joy Fuerbringer. If I’m near a court she is playing on next weekend I will check if there is any public buzz about her plans.

Miner was selected for the JNT over Cabello, who’s to say she won’t beat out Xu?

My money on Minor to win that race by mid freshman year. So much more athletic and stronger. If she’s wanting USC or Texas wouldn’t she have committed by now? It’s not like they need to see final junior year grades.
Xu coming off major injury, didn’t play HS as you all know. How’s she really doing? No reason she can’t come back 100% (if there was nothing besides the routine in her injury) but will she?

Miners good friend who I am also friends with said that she is going to Stanford. An I have spoken to multiple of her friends who say the same. She is Stanford bound. Usc has a committ in her age group and Texas has one just a year ahead. Quote me now, Kami miner is going to Stanford.

Don’t sleep on Xu. She will be the 5-1 setter in 2020 and will have 2 years of experience under her belt when 2021 comes around.

Taking nothing away from Xu, is a perfectly fine setter, but in this particular situation I've heard Powell had a family commitment during the NORCECA tournament dates, not that she got beat out.

Well now: seems as if there is potential for Ms. Gray to get even more advanced refinement with her setting skills. 2013 World Grand Prix Best Setter; 2013 NORCECA Best Setter; 2014 FIVB World Championship Best Setter; 2016 Olympic Games Best Setter. Yowser! Woowee: that's some "street cred" pedigree. Good for the culture/program!
