I don’t think a player as high profile and important as she is is jeprodixing her health. Playing will make her all around game better. I will bet hambly thinks it’s a good idea. It’s a month of volleyball considering she most likely will not make the vnl roster. If she needed to heal she would, also she has from December till then to mend her body. She doesn’t need 8 months off after a 4 month season. Uhhhh, no. You ARE aware of her history with a most virulent virus she contracted: which plagued her until the end of this season? PLUS her meniscus surgery? R-and-R! And soft sand. (Summer tourneys)

I don’t think a month of playing at the highest level will negatively affect her. I’m sure she knows what is best for her.

Ebony fell off her senior year and did not play USA the summer before that. She played USA after her freshman year. Carlini and alhassan both played in college for USA. Poulter did as well and had a stellar year this past season. Haggling did. Tom did. Micah Christionsin did as well. So let me rephrase, as long as Plummer doesn’t get unluckily injured, I think it will benefit her.

Inky battling injuries seems to support the idea that Plummer should rest. Ebony got injured while playing for USA in the summer after her freshman year. Carlini passed numerous times on practicing in the USA gym to rest/get healthy/stay in Wisconsin.

How did it turn out for Tom? Christianson? Poulter? Alhassan? Defalco? I think she knows whats best for her and what is safe. If she gets injured I don’t think it would be an overuse injury, which inky also wasn’t or Ebony’s. Playing for a month after 3.5 months off..... she plays for 4 months straight during season.

Playing some spring ball/practices and deep sand tournaments (SoCal beaches) should be plenty to keep KP in tune yet let her body heal. I played on gym floors a little too long myself before exclusively switching to sand and my back paid the price.

So Tami is sticking around to attend grad school. Congrats to her. Thru the years I told parents of prospective recruits that based on past experience of WVB players it is a fairly good chance their daughter after graduation will not return to their home town.
Beach roster is now finalized. Will Stanford have a winning season? I doubt it. Why can’t beach volleyball get the same level of recruits as indoor. There’s a pretty nice beach volleyball facility on campus. I remember when it was one big mud hole for about six months waiting for building permits.

[ Just "calling out" a 'lurker' with an agenda ] - Afa Alade: Congrats! For me, there was no bigger surprise, these past two years, than Tami's ascent at MB. Combined w/ Holly Campbell's development - particularly in the NCAAs - the Middle Blocker position thrived: even after Inky's departure. Tami Alade will be remembered for a long time!

I’m sure she knows what is best for her. THIS has got to be one of the lamest responses I have ever encountered. I think I have a read on who you are, my man. You have No idea ~the depth of my background or my current connections. Ya wanna quit answering questions w/ questions? (If my digging is correct, does KY; specifically Louisville/ Alexandria; ring a bell, dude?). UGH! Alexandria?? What on earth . I ask questions that have obvious answers and counter examples when I have a different opinion. Not that deep bro. I was just making a joke about people being so against Plummer playing with USA. Nothing more nothing less. But the personal responses on this thread man, some weird stuff. Please don’t “dig” on me it’s honestly creepy and weird. Like really weird. Im not gonna make assumptions about you because I don’t know you. Have a nice day in whatever city you live in (which I have not creepily looked for)

I really enjoyed talking to Tami's parents throughout her years at Stanford, especially her mom. It's cold in Edmonton, so she's making a good move staying at Stanford. Hopefully she can also be a volunteer assistant.

Despite sitting with the Beach coaches at the banquet I chose not to ask about the Nourse Twins. Big losses for whatever the reason
Dirt please respect Gavin with two names. Anger at the young Makes you look like a fool
