If Plummer were to be a first team AA again, POY for the third straight year, and win another natty, would that make her the most decorated female NCAA volleyball player of all time? + her freshman of the year award. No This begs the question...

No Everybody! bball is just a sour-grapes, supposed wannabe-"expert" who is renowned for their harsh, inaccurate pronouncements. Even husker posters disagree with them! Just an evil troll; what with invading other teams' threads to inject bitterness: since their team STILL trails the top two teams by two and three NC's, respectively. Clueless.

No Who was a more decorated NCAA player than her then? Plummer is just about there already with a senior season to go.

I wish this was based on achievements, not votes.

I wish this was based on achievements, not votes. Nomination and acceptance are based on achievements. The resume of each finalist is quite impressive. While we lament, go vote!

It would be ironic if Foecke wins the Sullivan Award Y' know, knowing KP's temperament/priorities, I'd say that she WON'T Really Give a rat's petoot 'bout the award; Plummdawg would Much Rather have a NC trophy (or 2)!

Yes it would. 4 time 1st team AA, national FOY, and 3 time NPOY. No one in NCAA history has those accolades. I'm not saying she would be the best player in NCAA history, but she would be the most decorated (and it's not even close). I agree she’d get the most “decorated” should she win POY for a third straight year but I don’t think it’s as “far” as you think. Megan Hodge comes pretty close with 4 time 1st team AA and all those nattys too. It’s really a function of POY, which is a function of the times, IMO. No offense to Plummer but her competition just isn’t the same at the elite player level as we saw during the mid to late 2000’s. Players like Pavan, Fawcett, and Akinradewo who won POY during Hodges career were timeless NCAA players who would dominate today’s game at their respective positions.

It would be ironic if Foecke wins the Sullivan Award Ah, wouldn't it be RED fans stuffing the ballot box.

Courtney Bowen did not play in yesterday's beach matches (she had been playing at #1). Stanford beat Nebraska 5-0 and lost to LBSU 1-4.

Is Bowen injured again? I just now looked for the team scores and recap of the Nebraska match. Stanford still doesn’t have that posted. Nebraska had the scores and recap posted within two hours of the match ending.

So the level of elite players in the sport has fallen over the past decade. I don’t know how Plummer would stack up against players from another era. I do know you put down Plummer for the past five years on this thread on many occasions, particularly when she was a Stanford recruit.
It is always the same MO. Start out with some backhanded compliment and then make the putdown comment you obsess about making toward Stanford recruits and players. When Plummer was a Stanford recruit you put her down on this thread almost every time there was a positive comment about her. According to you, as a Stanford recruit Plummer was slow, couldn’t hit well, and overrated. Overrated was your favorite insult about her. Could you at least be man enough to admit all those times you called her an overrated recruit might not have been completely accurate? Based on your track record, if you respond you will twist yourself into a pretzel trying to explain how you didn’t really mean what you posted.
