Is Bowen injured again? I just now looked for the team scores and recap of the Nebraska match. Stanford still doesn’t have that posted. Nebraska had the scores and recap posted within two hours of the match ending. Not sure if she is injured but looks like she wasn't on the trip. Didn't see her at IVC today. They could've used her today in their loss to GCU. Catherine Raquel stopped by to come watch her former team.

No offense to Plummer but her competition just isn’t the same at the elite player level as we saw during the mid to late 2000’s. So the level of elite players in the sport has fallen over the past decade. I don’t know how Plummer would stack up against players from another era. I do know you put down Plummer for the past five years on this thread on many occasions, particularly when she was a Stanford recruit.
It is always the same MO. Start out with some backhanded compliment and then make the putdown comment you obsess about making toward Stanford recruits and players. When Plummer was a Stanford recruit you put her down on this thread almost every time there was a positive comment about her. According to you, as a Stanford recruit Plummer was slow, couldn’t hit well, and overrated. Overrated was your favorite insult about her. Could you at least be man enough to admit all those times you called her an overrated recruit might not have been completely accurate? Based on your track record, if you respond you will twist yourself into a pretzel trying to explain how you didn’t really mean what you posted. This again? Oh please, I’ve said I was wrong on Plummer before a number of times, in fact i just posted this like a month ago From overrated and shouldn’t be starting, to polished and successful from day one. It would appear opinions do change after three years I never said she wasn’t a polished and experienced volleyball player coming out of HS, but I’ll surely admit that I didn’t see the enormous hype coming out of high school. Being wrong on the hype is not the same as understanding that she could play the game at a more polished level than Hooker coming out of HS. Stanford also needed her to start and be productive given Hodsons departure. I’ve never said otherwise. I’m not living in revisionist history here, I can admit when I called it incorrectly, and have said so on Plummer. I remember the last time you tried to pick this fight, accusing me of things I never actually did say because of your own personal bias I’m sure. If you need some sort of further validation to smooth over your smug ego, ok. I ADMIT I WAS WRONG ON THE PLUMMER HYPE DURING PREP YEARS. Do yourself a favor and save this page to your favorites.

Ah, wouldn't it be RED fans stuffing the ballot box. I have no idea why Foecke winning the award would be ironic. Seems like a strange use of "ironic." May be I use a wrong word, but what I was thinking was that Plummer won the NPOY award and Natty over Foecke, and then if Foecke wins the Sullivan Award, wouldn't it mean she should have won the NPOY over Plummer too? So if it is only based on the voting, it should have been more like "fan favorite" award. Foecke's Nebraska followers are probably many more than Plummer's.

Different criteria for different awards: no reason one person should win them both. No serious sports award is chosen solely by internet fan voting. That is primarily a way to draw the public's attention. From wikipeida: "...the eventual winner is determined by votes from various members of the nationwide news media, former winners and AAU personnel. More recently, a portion of the winner's vote has been determined by the general public."

Yea no, if Foecke won the Sullivan award it wouldn’t mean she should have POY. Nebraska has a larger and more involved fan base so I puke this be surprised if Foecke got more votes than Plummer. Lauren Carlini won the Sullivan award against I think 3 other olympians. It doesn’t Always mean the most successful athlete wins. (Carlini is great but the other girls had better resumes, not arguing over this so please don’t quote me idc)

Can we time this out so Ogilvie's commitment happens on Page 808? Is there a particular reason for that number ?
