At the time I had heard Hambly told Nuneviller at 5’10”/5’11” she would not be playing any front row; she was being recruited as libero/DS. Front row was not something she should have any expectations about if her decision was Stanford. I don’t know for sure if that is true or not.
It will be interesting to see if Nuneviller gets a shot at OH this year. If she does and is successful, maybe Hambly will look at Oglivie differently. With some decent offense at MB and OPP, it would be helpful to have a reliable passer at OH to call on when the team is not passing well.

Lots of fun speculation... we’ll have to see if Lougeay/Oglivie will be Hentz’s successor before we know if Oglivie is a viable option at OH. I do think that in a post 2016-class world, having both Kipp and Baird on the OH may not be so good when it comes to passing so having Oglivie (McClure in 2020) play that passing OH role may be optimal... or at least a possibility.

Everyone’s interested in the versatile Faumuina, but I’ve heard her top schools are SC and UCLA.

If she was going to play again, what actually happened with her concussions, what happened during the 2016 season, shall I continue? Sure, we know the general idea of what happened now, but no one really knew what was going on at the time it was actually happening.

VT even gets a mention. And, frankly, I am certain a well-earned mention judging by my time here. It's an addiction. The Hodson podcast can be found here: realpod.simplecast.com/episodes

Hodson was on Victoria Garrick's podcast recently. Interesting to hear her speak about the moments that were hush hush for so long. I wonder if Dunning feels like crap given everything that went wrong with her. Super sad to listen to esp when she talks about feeling excluded from the championship game. Yikes. Finally hearing it from her voice is eye opening.

Thank you for sharing, this podcast certainly gives a lot of context and further information about her story. I thought another interesting part was how highly she was talking about Karch and the USA team, including her meeting with Karch after her medical leave. Also when she was talking about (based off assumption) Jordan Burgess. There was some shade thrown, but I’m glad she’s seemingly moved on with her life and UCLA law is certainly an accomplishment.

It's interesting to me that things went down like that because Dunning always seem to really care about his athletes & I can't say I've really heard too many athletes come out & speak negatively about him as a coach. Kind of baffling that Hodson was excluded from the 2016 championship too as she did play in some significant games early on (Penn State 3-0 win). As a huge Stanford fan, I always will think "what if" with Hodson as I tend to with Murphy as well.

I know people make mistakes but I feel like Dunning is the scapegoat in this situation.
