Just finished watching the VDO. Thanks for posting. Certainly we can see that Gray was a leader on the court. She was calm and collected and had that burning fire to win. Of course, other players like Hentz and Plummer had too. I hope this season will be a successful one as well. Maybe an undefeated season. I 'dare to dream' that...can't wait to see the new line up. We have a bug target on our back for sure.

Or just park in the Maples lot. I just drove down from roseville. WBB has no scholarship openings so no one is going from WVB to WBB I'm parking lot challenged, which is why I suggested the Track House Lot. Super easy in/out access. On game/event days, I've never been able to score a spot in the Maples lot. Unlucky, I guess. That is good way to do it if you want to hang around for a few minutes or more after a match to celebrate with the team. OTOH, parking across the street under the Business Center can yield a pretty fast exit if you park your car one level below the entrance level nose first so you don't have to back out. You'll need to leave Maples as soon as the last point is scored and walk at a fairly brisk pace to beat most of the crowd over to the lot. With this strategy I typically can get out onto Campus Drive in less than two minutes after starting up my car engine.

Re: "Dare to Dream" - I understand you don't want to have just face-on shots of the people talking, but...
Anyone else find some of the angles and off-center framing a little strange? Trying to be different for the sake of being different?

Thanks all for the parking tips. It was very helpful. I read that the parking adjacent to Maples was reserved for season ticket holders, so I didn't even consider it. I might also check out the other two surface lots; the one next to the visitor's center and there's the Varsity lot between the stadium and ball field. I don't expect an issue this weekend, but I want to get the lay of the land in case I attend the home opener vs Texas in a couple weeks.

Trying to be different for the sake of being different? Yep, I found it was a little annoying actually, especially, the shot from below and up, but I figured they wanted to show the huge Stanford sign in the back and be a little artistic about it. I prefer the frontal shots better. From the VDO, can anyone figure out who were on the A or B team?

As to the Dare to Dream video, it’s very worthwhile to watch the Stanford women’s and men’s soccer championship videos, Ruthless and Undeniable (both on You Tube). (There is a similar one for the women’s swim team, but I don’t think that this video is quite as good as the soccer videos.) When you compare the soccer videos to Dare to Dream, DTD has significant deficiencies. One is the terrible lighting, especially in Kevin‘s interviews. Another is the weird angle shots, referenced by another poster, of the players’ interviews. A third is the overpowering music, which becomes a real distraction. The soccer videos’ music adds drama. DTD’s music is overwhelming at times. The fourth deficiency, for me, is a lot of duplicate and superfluous material that should’ve been edited out. The last five minutes, which repeats the championship moment footage, has an interview with three freshmen, and has the varsity players posing, aren’t necessary. Finally, while Bowen’s commentary is useful for the “amateur” volleyball viewer to follow the ebbs and flows of a season with so many games (unlike soccer), Bowen (while having a great voice) is clearly not a professional narrator; her words sound extremely scripted, which of course they were.

You hit all the cylinders. I do appreciate the VDO, love to hear the players' perspectives. I thought I would hear from Kipp and Vicini also but didn't. I first thought the narrator was a guy, but then realized it was Bowen's. She did a good job. I would love to see more VDO from the practice.
