I know quite a few people in the regular world who are more hyper and overwhelmed than that on a daily basis just at my office job.... I think he'll be okay! I think the bigger problem will be falling back into the realm of drugs and/or alcohol -- once he has cash flow, it will be easy for him to return to those things.
His voice is pretty outstanding. I hope he gets his life on track, and I'm glad people are giving him another chance.

Sadly, it didn't take long for the gentleman to tumble. There was a segment on the Today show about his reunion with his kids. Unfortunately, the reunion turned into a argument with the kids and him being taken to jail. I don't think he was arrested, but he did check himself into a rehab center for alcohol abuse. Not a shock he would still be drinking since that happens to many homeless. Hopefully, he will make it. newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/01/12/homeless-man-with-golden-voice-headed-to-rehab/

It is sad, and not a shock.
However, it is normally the drinking that precedes the homelessness, not the other way around.

He didn't go to jail. The cops showed up at their hotel room after an argument and detained/questioned them before releasing them.
