UCSB defeated CSUN in four games. No other info right now. I heard about it while listening to the UCI match. No info on websites yet.
I am sure someone will post more information later.

Worst vball CSUN has played int the last 3 years. They looked bad.
Patak was a 1 man wrecking crew! have not seen any stats but I guess he had 5-7 aces and hit very well except for the end of game 2.

The passing for CSUN was terrible in games 3 and 4. While I would be happy if I was a fan of UCSB, CSUN started 5 freshman in the match. If they are at this level now they should be pretty good in two months.
They just need to win a few games before two months from now, if they want to be in a position to win in post season.

That's right, they started 5 freshmen. That explains why they played like they started 5 freshmen.

Did that 7'2" Polish player play for CSUN? What's the story on him? Good player?

No and Not Sure. If CSUN had more middle depth I think he would have redshirted.

While I understand that you should be disappointed with how bad CSUN played, you should be optimistic that 5 freshman on a court can beat Long Beach, and show some promise. I was sitting next to a parent of a CSUN player, who said that CSUN only lost one big time player last year (a MB), and the rest of the team was returning. Starting 5 freshman who can play shows how deep CSUN actually is. CSUN can only get better.

CSUN lost 2 middle blockers, one a AA, and a 4 year varsity outside. The higest producing outside of last year was on the bench for unknown reasons and the #1 opposite is out with an injury. Plenty of excuses but it is still bound to be a long year.

Looked like a classic case of CSUN deciding whether to go with the players you know who can get CSUN the proverbial 4th or 5th place finish, or attempting to develop an Irvine like core that can win when they are juniors and seniors. Pederson, the freshman setter, did look pretty good for a 6'8" freshman, and Guardino played better on saturday than the two Friday matches. Assume Rhodes will be back and he is one of my favorite offensive players.

Had the bug earlier in the week but the Ebar was due to arm problems (short term we hope).

I think that CSUN will recover but they will have to navigate through some rough water to rfeach the heights attained last year.
