With a flat tire on the way to SD, CSUN was lucky to make the start. Go Adams! Great game in front of his home crowd.

A guess only, but with Adams playing well and Theo playing good, the more rest for the bad shoulder on Rhodes, the better. Perhaps down the stretch CSUN will be in better shape to make a run in the MPSF tournament. Dan is without doubt, is the #1 opposite when healthy. Nice to have a little depth this year though.

Hey, great to see Adams getting the opportunity to showcase his talents. Totally agree with swingaway that Dan Rhodes is the nation's top opposite when healthy. Beat'em up CSUN Matadors!! (my school, yeah!!)

Hey, great to see Adams getting the opportunity to showcase his talents. Totally agree with swingaway that Dan Rhodes is the nation's top opposite when healthy. Beat'em up CSUN Matadors!! (my school, yeah!!) I think that Swingaway meant that Rhodes is CSUN's top OPP, not the nation's. I think most people woud agree that Patak from UCSB is the best OPP in DI.

I was at the UCSD/Northtridge game. Local boy Adams put on a show! Good to see Lischler playing too. Northridge is still a year 1 or 2 a way from really being top 5. I like their libero Carter, a lot of fire.

I did mean #1 opposite with CSUN. Rhodes has a VERY fast approach and big swing, with the setters changing often, I think he is having trouble finding his rhythm. I forgot big Lish was from San Diego area also. Lisher is also having some rough games as he finds the rhythm. Wish they were all further along but it is a long season. Carter is playing well in his first few starts. Hope he continues to improve. I need them to get it together vs Pepperdine or my pick the winners score is going to continue to slide

Oh, yes, I will have to agree that Patek is the nation's top opposite. When I wrote the previous post re CSUN's Dan Rhodes, I wasn't aware that Patek had returned to the UCSB lineup. He disappeared late last season (2006) due to academic ineligibility. But in the meantime, Rhodes hasn't been doing that well this 2007 season. Can't wait to see Patek play again.
