cole reinholm is getting the start. what is he starting at? because isn't he lefty? i remember him playing opp for smbc i think. so is he playing outside now as a lefty? Yup. Coach Speraw has been going back and forth between Reinholm and Wilson for the OH position all season (with Jablonsky at the other OH).

Tough loss if you're an 'Eater fan (me being one of them), but hats off to Coach Wortz and the Tigers. Looking at the stat sheet (besides the score column) it looks as if UCI should have won the match. Check it out at: www.mvball.uci.edu/Boxscores/2007/ucivb15.htmVTalkers haven't mentioned Cornell-- Pacific's OH/Opp. Granted, Seppanen & Nutkevitch were on fire, but Cornell was a viable option last night as well. The Tigers executed very well tonight. The "6'0" setter (he can't be taller than 5'10" because I was standing next to him and I'm 5'9"-- the other possibility is that I've grown-- NOT), Garret Morales (with exception of his serving) did what he had to do-- ran the offense and gave it to the hot hands and kept the Irvine blockers honest AND gave his hitters one-on-one hitting situations. He also ran a hut to Seppanen that was tough to stop at the outside. I don't recall him getting blocked on it (but I have a poor memory since my team lost). What it comes down to is Pacific won out because of heart last night. Irvine was not into it and when they decided to get into it they played but then fell into a catatonic state in game 5. Quite a shakedown in the MPSF that's for sure.

Those game 5's are so quick there is hardly enough time for a momentum shift once they get going.
