Good Grief..... she outscored Pavan (who seemed to get set every other ball). 10 blocks.... that's just insane!

Pavan is very inconsistent, especially at the crucial moment. She made lots of errors. In the recent matches, Wilson carried Villa Cortese and leads the team to FF.

Barboza and Harmotto are quietly continuing to improve and starting to look really good coming into this spring/summer. Hugh and co must be pleased.
Harmotto has become a beast and Barboza has steadied out her play with excellent defense and better passing.
Note: Modena has a team of all stars. Check it out.

Harmotto has been a revelation, both in blocking and offensively (esp. since Ognjenovic joined up) and really carried the team in the Italian Cup, but I must disagree about Barboza - she's been pretty disappointing. www.legavolleyfemminile.it/Statistiche.asp?TipoStat=2.2&Serie=1&AnnoInizio=2011&Giornata=0&Atleta=BAR-CYN-87She's hitting about .180 for the season, .09 bps, only 42% perf passes and only one ace all season. Modena may have some big names (Aguero, Barazza, Rinieri) but they're still barely hanging on to 8th place. I wouldn't read much into a match against Torino, which is a big-time bottom feeder.

I disagree. She is really banging the ball these days. I think her biggest problem is that she doesn't see the court or block very well. She gets soft blocked too much.

While you're at it, be sure to watch the replay of RC Cannes-Vakifbank match, too. It just finished and boy, I still cannot believe it. ;D

I would agree that Barboza has had many mishaps offensively, but I only noted her passing and defense that have improved. Her defense has been very good. Modena as a team has had issues with the setting position as I'm sure you are aware which now seems to be fixed. Aguero is not as dominate as she once was, to be expected of course, but I miss those days when she destroyed every set.

I'll take Fenerbahce. Haven't a clue in the other, no idea about RC Cannes. Don't like RC Cola so I'll go with Cortese.

I like Villa over Cannes. Cannes beat them twice in pool play, but Villa is a much different team right now. Fenerbahçe will take the whole thing unless Sokolova self-destructs like last year. It'll be a very bizarre atmosphere in Baku with no Azeri teams playing.

I'll go with Fenerbahce. Definitely my favorite team of this season.
