I hope Hugh takes Berg and Lloyd to London, and I think he might. He watches everybody whether they are in his gym or overseas, and I think Lloyd has been better than Glass by quite a bit, but we'll have to see what happen in Anaheim.
(Queue the PSU trolls.)

You're an idiot. Glass is better because she won 3 national championships and endured four years of blue sweater abuse....

BTW: Part Deux... I believe this might have been Berg's last professional match of her career...Certainly she will be retiring from International volleyball after London, but I also think I remember hearing that she will be retiring from the sport to pursue other opportunities... though I might be wrong.

I am not convinced that Lloyd is #3 on the USA depth chart. I think she's behind Berg, Glass and Thompson.

I feel that in the US setting depth chart, it's 1)Berg (however, I worry about her health), 2 (tied) Lloyd and Glass, 3) Spicer, 4) Thompson.
I think Berg is for sure going and I just have a hunch Glass will be going to London as well. Glass has done well this season -- winning the Polish championship. I don't think there is any fair way to judge their (Glass and Lloyd) performances -- both performed well this season and won their respective leagues.
I don't think they'll bring Spicer or Thompson, because since Berg is going, I feel Hugh wants to bring a taller, more athletic setter.
It's great to know that the US is producing high quality setters (especially, since we seem to lack in the passing outside hitter department).

Eh. I don't care who goes. Neither Lloyd nor Glass will see the court very much if the team can play like it's been playing over the past couple years. I just want the team to win the gold medal. If Lloyd can help them do that better than Glass can, fine.
I still believe that Glass will be the second choice, however. Her greatest strength over Lloyd is her experience, which I think we can all agree is one of the most important intangible aspects of succeeding internationally.

I believe I am the only one who thinks that Alisha and Carli are exactly in the same level. I think we aren't supposed to discuss who is better than who. On the contrary, I think we should feel happy for having both of them to lead team USA in a near future. Most of our opponents haven't the same privilege of having two capable setters like them. I'll tell you, future looks bright for US women's national volleyball team. We must worry about the men's team.
