Can add Bowling Green to the list as Denise has already stated she will be retiring after the season. Won't they just promote Hardaway. He has been there for a while now.

Nice job NM. Pretty interesting that there were so few DI AC positions relative to the HC openings last year. I don't know lonewolf, I'd consider 40 more jobs a pretty good number. Now, if you're simply doing a direct comparison to 2009-10, then I think that was more a product of how many assistant coaches were hired into head coaching positions that year. Good point, I hadn't thought about it in that light.

karellen, I know that getting into a big program is well out of reach....for now, and I was looking at getting with a smaller school, even as a Grad Asst. I just wanted to get an idea if it were possible.

Don't overlook any level, and start making connections now. You never know what doors will be opened when you need it most. Good luck!

Yeah I have coached club/HS for years and just want to move to the next level. I believe I have prepared correctly, just need an opening to get in!

I'm not sayin... but i'm just sayin. There are a few programs in Florida that need a face lift. But then again, I wouldn't be shocked at all if there is no movement in the staff for less than " logical" reasons. It's kinda funny... to get out of the sport of volleyball as a full time career. I realize how immersed my life had been in something I really love.
Cheers to all of you ( top 25 program coaches... and " not so " top 25 program coaches ) for working your asses off and not getting paid what you could if you chose to wear a suit and tie... and do the 9-5 thing.

They were very serious about it, and as a whole the team did not want to play for this coach and the coaches style anymore.

Is it a part-time job? 2007 they were .500 I don't think they fund anything there, except Tennis. Interesting that the AD is still the head of the EIVA, even though they no longer have a team. It is still part time.

At one time he was not only the AD and the athletic departments compliance officer but the head coach for the mens team. Conflict of interest.......you betcha!! Guys that weren't eligible anywhere else, suddenly became eligible there. Hmmm.....how does that happen? LOL

I ask that no one bash this school, those young ladies are great and deserve a solid head coach. The pay isn't great, but what part time position is. What should matter, and should be the only thing kept in mind is that team and nothing else. it would be a small stepping stone for the right candidate with the right mentality.
I SHOULD KNOW...
