Why would a college president care? Unless its one of a few top level programs that either makes money for the school or wins national championships, that college president could care less.

It reflects poorly on the structure of the athletics department & ultimately the president that you don't care enough (or screw the process up enough) to have a head coach in position for a varsity program. And it could be twisted badly in our case where it's a women's sport with the tension about equality running around.

typically, athletic programs that are run poorly, are also poorly funded. if the president really cared, they would work to change the funding.
St. Peter's wouldn't be in this position if they were funded like a D1 program should be.

St. Peters has put themselves is such a hole, I the two most realistic options are to cut the program or hire a full time coach. I'm not sure how they get out of this hole with the current level of funding and support.

That is just completely sad that SPC is going into their first competition with out a head coach.

That is just completely sad that SPC is going into their first competition with out a head coach. After speaking with Alumnae, there is money available for players academic and athletic . But the fact remains that the HC will make less than many HS Head Coaches in neighboring counties in the state of NJ. MAAC coaches must be smiling about this as this cellar dweller cements their position for at least another season or three.

I would say that academic money is available and SPU are very generous, but athletic scholarships are very limited at best!

A Miracle. Saint Peter's makes a hire, will have the Head Coach with them for their first tournament (although he/she has never been to a practice). Perhaps it will be posted on the website who before the season is over.
They do have academic money that is easy to qualify for, mainly because there are low standards to get into the school.
When I was taking a look at the team roster, the players answered short questionnaire's for their bio. When one was asked, "What do most people not know about SPC?" she responded, that it is DI Athletics. LOL at the fact they put that on the website.
Edit: changed it to he/she

Good Luck coach you will need it especially when you are up in Western NY instead of Essex County, NJ.
