Can you really say it was a good game, when so many runs were scored on errors? But can you say it wasn't a good game, with the home team tying it in the ninth, coming back to tie it again in the tenth, and then winning in the eleventh, all to stay alive for game seven?

Used to be a huge baseball fan (now I'm just huge), but I really don't like what's become of the sport. So I watch tonight and I swear every last one of these athletes are still on steroids. It's fricking obvious to me. Humans do not have bodies like these. Not naturally.
What am I missing?

Roids or not, that was one heck of a game.

Good as in well played? Not so much. Good as in terrifically exciting? Most definitely! I love games like this when I don't have a dog in the hunt. Not so much when the Huskers are involved when I much prefer a blowout victory so I can relax early in the contest.

You're right. After all, the Mariners didn't make any errors tonight. The Mariners are just that great. They haven't made any errors in weeks.

I actually missed most of this. My brother is a huge Cardinals fan (he went to college in St. Louis) so I root for them in the NL. I was texting him throughout the game but went to sleep in the 7th because I had volunteering early this morning and wanted to be well rested. Then this morning not only did I find out that the Cardinals won but that the teacher I volunteer for forgot to tell me that she didn't need me today because the class had to go to a seminar. So I missed one of the most exciting games of the year for nothing

Summary: St Louis steroid-enhanced athletes defeated Texas steroid-enhanced athletes, coming back from 2 down (with 2 out, and 2 strikes on the batter) in the 9th and 10th.
Nolan Ryan seemed chagrined.
Buck Junior ripped off Buck Senior.

One of the ESPN bloggers called it the best game of badly played baseball since the Bad News Bears.

One of the ESPN bloggers called it the best game of badly played baseball since the Bad News Bears. Were they chanting "let them play" while an ADHD kid ran around the infield avoiding the security?

The best parts were the triple to tie in the ninth and the walk-off homer by David Freese, who grew up in St. Louis and quit baseball after high school.

And Hamilton's homer, after Buck and partner were just discussing his "left groin."

The best parts were the triple to tie in the ninth I thought that was going to be caught.
