Flyers Settle For Season Split With Carthage Lewis falls for just second time at home Feb. 27, 2007 ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Jared Dayton led all players with 18 kills, and Alex Viganksy hit .588 with 11 kills, but it wasn't enough for Lewis in a 30-28, 18-30, 30-25, 30-26 loss to a feisty Carthage squad, Tuesday night at Neil Carey Arena. Carthage, ranked No. 3 in Division III, improved to 12-5 while Lewis fell to 10-5. Dayton hit .300 for the match and collected seven digs, one solo and two assisted blocks. Viganksy (11-1-17) set a season high in kills and registered two assisted blocks. David Kelnhofer added 11 kills, and Craig Boller had nine kills behind a .316 hitting effort. Nick Perakes led Lewis with 11 digs. Drew Pickering had six kills and matched a career high with four aces. Carthage had three players reach double figures in kills, led by Shane Olson with 17. Rob Koehler had 15 kills, hitting .600, and Juri Veldre added 13 kills. Matt Ulmer added a match-high 14 digs, and Ryan Baumgartner had 13. the flyers dont impress me at all. they are young, there team is all soph minus dayton. maybe next year
