Didn't get a chance to go to the match. Had to watch it on TV because this cold is still lingering around. But it was a good overall performance.
Northridge looked a little jet lagged or something. You could tell they just didn't look comfortable all night long. Part of it was Hawaii's serving. Hawaii served really well and Northridge was having passing problems on the night. But again, Northridge looked a half step slow. There were some incredible rallies on both sides. Both teams went shot for shot and dig for dig. All in all, Northridge looked good. But it came down to being in system more and Hawaii just looked a little more crisp than Northridge.
By mid way through the second game, Hawaii finally looked like they were playing as a team. Before tonight, they were playing as individuals on the court. Tonight, they looked like they were playing in system. It finally looked like everyone understood his role on the team. Everything looked better than a month ago. Passing was still shaky but good enough to run the offense. The outsides need to do a better job of terminating the ball, but all the pieces are certainly there.

yeah CSUN looked really jet lagged...eh tomorrow should be a betta game Not sure CSUN was down or jet lagged, Hawaii just did not play like a 3 win team. Figure we would arrive when they decide to play well. Hawaii was able to block Rhodes and Vance due passing, partly due to Hawaii's serve. CSUN did not block well and served poorly. Hawaii mad some great defensive plays. CSUN can beat Hawaii even with Hawaii playing well, but to do so they will need to keep the service errors down and get the block up.

UH is a good team, no doubt about it. How was the setting situation for CSUN? Statistically, it looks like the first two games (for attacking) were poor for CSUN then they turned it on in game 3.
Lischer looked like the only statistical brightspot for CSUN, but only 10 attempts? He is one of the best attackers in the Nation. They should feed him the ball all night.
