I thought someone from BYU would beat me to it:
Best Venue and Atmosphere go to BYU hands down. Ask anyone (opponents of BYU) that has played there and they will all agree.
Best OH has to go to BYU as well. Pick one: Cala or Perez
And last, best coach has to go to Dunphy.

best setter: Jon Winder best coach: Marv Dunphy best serve: Evan Patak (no one else is even close)
I think there should be another category: best smack talkers. I'd give it to UCLA.

Best Venue and Atmosphere go to BYU hands down. Ask anyone (opponents of BYU) that has played there and they will all agree. I don't think so. Definitely not the best venue (lights suck and the stands don't even go all the way around) and if anyone gets best atmosphere it should be Hawaii. Maybe this year they are not crunching out the best attendance rates, but i think we would be hard pressed to find anyone who does not like going to Hawaii to play. Fans (when they show up) are fun and cheer for good volleyball, not just their team, and you just can't top the Warrior at every match with his drummers and the break time blimp! And if the game isn't great.... hey, you are still in Hawaii!!! Will agree, however, that Cala is among the elite OHs, not sure i would put Perez up there though. And i agree with vbreject, EP has the best serve hands down (is his arm wearing down toward the end of the season though?) New Category: Most likely to blind the crowd with the chrome dome: John Speraw (UCI)

Best middle blocker... James Lischer.
Every team double commits. Very little help. Average setting.

That's cool. That dude and his bazillion kids were overpaid anyway, and the act gets kinda tired after awhile. Alan Hackbarth - waaaaay more entertaining at volleyball matches.

Best middle blocker... James Lischer. Every team double commits. Very little help. Average setting. I am going to have to say that David Smith is the best MB.

Most likely to test the load bearing capacity of the net standard and referee stand: Marvin Hall Second place: Jon Martin Didn't Marvin get gastric bypass? I think I read it in VB Monthly. BYU gets best home court advantage-not best venue.

Loved Villie. Added a lot of entertainment to the matches. Got the crowd stirred up too. Loved that rubber guy too. Don't have pics, but he was great.

Best new unique marketing tactic: Buseaters Very, very cool. Congrats to the Eater's marketing person, or whomever got this done. (In current issue of VB Mag.)
