jb S....No, they're not TOO bad to play with, but I see all this stuff come up with many groups (there are a LOT more B players than A, AA & AAA combined). I see a lot of affect partners make on their team, like the guy that says, at the end of a loss, "Wow, you played GREAT against me, how come you couldn't do that when you were playing with me"? I think the answer resides in the question....LOL

#85 - Maybe its NOT you....When you’ve shanked a serve but your partner is on a “run” of shanks, he’s not allowed to say “We need to pass better”….Uh, no YOU need to…Look, nobody wants to hear "it", but keep your "how I/we can do better" to: How YOU can do better....leave your partner out of it...even if he's IN it....Just say'n...

#84 - My unforced error was not as bad as YOUR unforced error!? Well, not really….Beach is a game of errors that unfold into a rally and a point and too often, the shrugging of shoulders to “showcase” your partner’s error is not REALLY necessary since you’re doing relatively the same….We ALL do ‘em, none are any better than the rest…

#83: Can I Play? ? ? No ! ! ! Well, . . . Please don’t walk up to a group and say: “Can I join you for a game? I’m here from out of town and I “played in high school”….RATHER, do your soon-to-be-team a favor by WARMING UP nearby, within view so that can see that you have some level of skills, so they don’t end up saying: “Uh, well, this might be our last game (depending upon whether you and your girlfriend LEAVE)”. It just makes it easier to see what level your at (Yes, you can judge someone’s level by their warm-up’s).

#82 - Keep a ball ready at each side of the court & WITHIN REACH !!!!
So, you're playing a rally and its over, so WHERE do you put the ball that ended play: Behind the serving line (AND, if you're REALLY on top of it, on the side of the NEXT server). NO, you don't just hit the ball out of court by the net or to some other non-specific area....Come on!!! AND if your opponent has FOUR balls at their reach, you keep the ball on your side and ask them to serve ONE OF THE FOUR BALLS by their server....This SIGNIFICANTLY speeds up games and is the RIGHT THING to do....SO DO IT...LOL....Just kidding, but not really....

#81 - Its practically WINTER, so here is #81: Passing, ...its EVERYTHING...
If you can't pass 4/5 hard driven serves, don't focus on any other part of your game, just this: you can't pass! It's not really that bad of an attribute because that's the hardest part of the game but don't forget: you can't pass. So this keeps you from commenting on your partners play because it doesn't matter because again, you can't pass. I hear it all the time: Don't set me so high (Yeah, don't shank your pass so far that I DON'T have to set it that high from OUT OF COURT)...etc....Till you pass consistently, don't look elsewhere....K?

Or when you're playing doubles and people come up asking "you looking to play triples or quads" NOOO

#80 - Go get the $%@%$%@% ball !!! So your opponent is nice enough to go retrieve a ball or two pretty far away from the court, so WHY DON'T YOU TOO ! ! ! Don't stand around the court while your opponents are going after balls when you could be doing the same to speed up play.....Geeezzzz !

Since nothing else is going on apparently this winter, #79: Bring a ball that has the CORRECT PRESSURE.....OK, now "bring a ball" might be foreign to many playesr, but it IS A REQUISITE to play. You do it every other place, so WHY NOT in beach volleyball, BRING A BALL. BUT, beyond that, have it "PLAYABLE".....If you bring a ball with a pound of pressure, its NOT PLAYABLE. Don't thow it in the mix, only to be picked up by the server ONLY TO HAVE IT THROWN in the corner.... It's NOT the law, but it SHOULD be....

I got some...
#1 Don't complain about the ball you are using if you didn't bring a ball and/or are to cheap to buy one.
#2 I understand that you can't pass, but if you leak out on defense you might as well just quit playing because no one wants to play one vs two and run all over the court.
#3 Even if you have a big lead, don't jump serve if you don't know how. No one wants to chase balls no matter how the game is going.

fdc: Don't get me STARTED on the ball thing; they'll pay $80 for a round of golf, but NO BALL....huh? and I JUST LOVE JUMP SERVERS that CAN'T jump serve....You ALWAYS hear: I'm going to try a jump serve......Really? Really? PS they're only good if you're REALLY good and if you're going to "try one", well, I think you just answered THAT question....

It's, AUTUMN, it rains, so #78: If your sand is WET and its raining or drizziling, don't ROLL THE BALL to the server so it gains about 6 oz of sand on its journey!!! Slap the ball, toss it ON THE FLY to the server and GET ON WITH IT....rolling balls in the sand is FINE in JULY, in NOVEMBER in raining weather? Uh, well, I don't think so....
