These have got to be THE worst fotos of Kerri and Misty I have ever seen. There are a million sites it seems but this is BAD. All the fotos are wretched on this site. www.london2012.com/beach-volleyball/event/women/match=bvw400c02/index.htmlOne can at least.... go to this site tho and get live scoring and stats. My streaming experience today has not been wonderful. Buffering all the time, I think, means they don't have enough band width for the HUGE # of folks trying to stream???

Lindsey Berg was injured today and it looks like a possible Achilles heal tear or break. If so she will be out for the rest of the Olympics. Can they then activate Alisha Glass and fly her to London immediately and get her ready as a back up setter.

Going into the Olympic Games I was not a Berg fan, but she has completely won me over. Very hard to read and a great leader. Thompson should be a great leader as well but seems to be much more predictable and easier to read. That being said, if I had to pick one woman to step into a tough situation and make it work it would be CThomp.

I was not a Berg fan either but she is impressive and oozes confidence and " we can do this," kind of attitude. She runs a great show.

Does anyone know if the USA Olympic Volleyball team can activate Alisha Glass as a back up setter if Lindsey Berg's injury will put her out for the rest of the Olympics? I know that Lindsey has done a great job and has a wealth of experience and Thompson did a great job coming in as a last minute substitute. But what if she is also injured?

Nope, they have to go with who's on the current 12 person Olympic roster. No additions. If both your setters go down with tournament-ending injuries, then all you can do is say "damn, that's some seriously bad karma."

Thanks for that info. I suspected that was the case. By the way, during the USA men's game yesterday the announcers said that they were trying to get more information about Lindsey's injury and they said that the USA coaching staff were very hush-hush about it. That's not a good sign. I suspect Courtney Thompson will be the setter in today's match and we will see a lot of Scott-Arruda and Megan Hodge since the three of them work together on the practice team every day and are familiar with each others ways. I would still leave Logan Tom and Destiny Hooker in, no matter who is setting.
