Being number one is way over rated....always expected to win, no where to go but down, to much scrutiny if the "number one" ranking/seed is legit....I think it was all orchestrated to catch up on rest and come in as an underdog....but that's just my thoughts....

Um, with the FIVB seeding rules...isn' it better to be #3 than #1? (and in with the host team)?

Um, with the FIVB seeding rules...isn' it better to be #3 than #1? (and in with the host team)? For beach, the #3 seed isn't in with the host team. Host team will be in pool with either #6, #7 or #8 ranked team (determined by a draw).
