I just wanted to go ahead and start a thread for Japanese coach Masayoshi Manabe so that when he logs onto VolleyTalk during breakfast a few hours from now he will have some suggestions for how his team should adjust their play after their convincing 3-1 defeat by Italy. Just think how cool it'll be when he and Hugh are both logged on at the same time!

It would have been more impressive if you'd offered a few suggestions.
I think they need to use a bigger block.

For *your* team. Very important distinction that even quality coaches overlook.
I'm thinking t-shirts need to be printed up.

And they could do a much better job at leveraging their existing skillscloud. Too often they've been walking away and leaving superior solution modalities on the table.

"Skillscloud"? OMG. I haven't heard that one before. Thanks for the heads up.

He needs to form an executive comittee of high paid people who knows nothing about volleyball to suggest solutions. Ph and put their money in the Caymans.
