So does that mean Brazil's fate is in the hands of the mighty US?

China threw away that 4th set to Korea. They are also rooting for USA to lose to Turkey so Brazil will be out of elimination round.
As you know, China never won a match against Brazil in this quad.
Talk about tactics!!

Ridiculous to come back from behind by 9 points in the first set if they were going to give away 2 sets anyway.

Talk about tactics!! If that is the case why didn't they throw away the 1st set and then win the next 2? They were down 9-19 in the first set.

Thus is where people will start questioning whether Korea and China were in cahoots to push the match to five because of the tournament rules it was to their advantage, and to the detriment of Brasil if the match came out the way it did. The difference here is that they had to go five rather than straight out tank.

China and S. Korea already cheated (match fixing) in badminton, is this really a surprise?

China and S. Korea already cheated (match fixing) in badminton, is this really a surprise? Well, it is very different. In the badminton double events, both sides were trying to lose but serving into the net. Here, Brazil put themselves in this awkward position in the first place. Why did they have to lose to Korea really? Try to avoid Japan in the quarters? China and Korea pushed the match to 5, but both sides were still trying to win because the losing side could still end up in 4th. Anyway, this is not the first time in volleyball either. Japan and Serbia fixed their match to kick Thailand out of the Olympics. In last year's World Cup, Korea lost 0-3 on purpose to China. And we all know what Brazil men's team did in 2010 World Champ and Athens 2004; Cuba in Athens 2004; China in 2002 World Champ.
