I think Berg will be back. Did you watch her demeanor on the sidelines during the DOM match? She was all smiles and laughing everytime the camera showed her. That isn't the demeanor of someone who thinks their Olympics is over.... Unless she's come to terms with it already and the pain pills are making her feel reeeaally goood.... IDK, just my 2 cents. Maybe she was putting on a brave face and being a leader for her teammates? Her sulking on the sidelines would only bring the team down. Berg is classy; she will put it past her and inspire her teammates. Or she will pull a Willis Reed.

Question, if CT sets the team to a nice win in the semis, and Berg is ready for the finals, do you make the switch?

Since this thread seems to be all about useless speculation anyway....
What are the odds that LB was never injured, and the bag of ice was a simple ruse to throw off the competition? (No, that's just what they would be expecting us to do...)
I'm sure glad CT was able to laugh off getting punched in the nose on the match point! Does anyone else think the refs got that one wrong? I thought I saw a touch after the block, but I never saw a replay.

CT will be fine. I've watched her play at the UW many times and she is very confidant player and a great leader. Can I have some of that Kool-Aid that you are chugging?

The tape seems to be high, maybe she tweaked a calf muscle and not the Achilles.

Seems kind of far-fetched, but the injury happened at a very convienent time for the US. Idk, Hugh doesn't seem like the type that would play mind games like that. I would say the chances of it all being a ploy are slim.

I don't think anyone would be physically capable of keeping a healthy Berg off the court. She is too strong of a leader and too fierce a competitor to take the bench just to run a fake+coverup worthy of CheneyBush's Iraq WMD.
