And yet they somehow have time to show us gymnasts waiting for scores ... for three hours.
Oh, well. Not sure that NBC did volleyball any favors tonight.

I agree with USAvolley, Larson started off rough. At times I thought we might see Hodge come in, but Larson picked it up and had a nice match from the 2nd set on. 2nd in scoring, impressive serving runs, best passer, and decent blocking. Just how much more does Larson have to do to be," not be playing rough?"

Just not very interesting parts of the match. If they're going to chop it up, do a better job of showing good volleyball. It wasn't a very pretty match, however. This. The last women's match that they showed in primetime, started with an ace followed by a timeout and if my old brain can remember correctly, they aired the timeout. Such excitement.

Watched prime time. It was good broadcasting for volleyball. Saw the 2nd and 3rd sets. Thought Logan Tom was a little off maybe she is trying to do too much everywhere on the court??? Lindsey does gel the team together. The only thing I like about the double sub is Courteny-she does play good defense. Destinee is crushing, Nicole has really started to come around. Gold Medal a day away. Go USA.

I, along with many other posters, acknowledged the bad and the good of many players. In this instance, we're discussing Jordan Larson. This is a very fair assessment of how she played in the match. I think it's clear that that I stated she had a nice match overall. How much criticism can Larson receive before your head explodes?

Mmmm....I have to slightly agree with Wrigley on this. Destinee's defense coverage is often terrible. I have read very little about that on this board because her termination is excellent. She is amazing no doubt but remember your assessments are "fair." Tom had a tough game but yet the love affair continues. Larson tends to get the most criticism. While it might be a fair assessment, fair would be if all players were at the receiving end of your shall we say, " critiques." Just for fun read the first 15 pages of this particular thread. If you can find one positive comment about Larson's play please share it with me. Larson and Tom are the workhorses of this team. Tom certainly gets the accolades and deservingly so but?

Nebraska Victimization Syndrome continues. D gets called out on her defense all the time, and Davis and Berg get far more criticism than Larson does. Larson was getting MVP calls on this board for the first couple of matches if you'd bother to actually look and not make an emotional reaction. Larson did have a rough start, and if you watched the first set you'd see that. Logan was pushing a bit too hard, and she's been called out for that too.

I stated on at least 2 occasions that Tom was playing miserably. As to your comment re: Hooker, her job isn't to play great defense, it's to terminate. If she was having a poor match offensively, that's all you'd hear about.. All that was said was that she started out rough. You'd think someone had called for her to be removed from the team. Judging from the resentful comments such as "the love affair continues" it's clear you're not an impartial spectator.

So ... let me get this correct. The USA women are playing for a spot in the gold medal match.... so NBC shows a little over a set of the match. Even the replay on the website only shows the same coverage.
Right now... I am watching the entire match between Bulgaria and Russia.
This makes no sense.

Interesting that the replay on shows what was shown on NBC. After we watched the entire thing online @ NBColympics yesterday

It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.
