Inside volley says Wopat to Cannes. Fabulous opportunity for her if true. Can't remember their last American. She wrote on twitter: "Bonjour mes amis! Just recently decided to play professional volleyball this next season with RC Cannes, a team in Cannes, France. Ow owww!" I might be wrong but Carly could be the first.

Boy, Williams to a Romanian team? Could be an "interesting" cultural experience. Wopat with Cannes, now that sounds like fun. She never struck me as a party girl, and of course doesn't have to be.

Just wondering. What would a player like Larson or Robinson make from their new teams? I know many Americans in the lesser leagues make 20,000-30,000 range but what would better players get paid?

Fenerbahce already has Kim, Montano and Lucia Bosetti. Not sure where Richards fits in there. Fenerbahce also signed Lo Bianco and renewed Bauer's contract. Doesn't the league have a limit on how many foreigner players who can suit up and play during a match?

But I believe that limit only applies to domestic league matches. That limit I believe is a tricky one so someone here can better explain it. In domestic league matches, I think if u face another champion's league team, u can have more foreigners playing. For international (European) tournaments, like Champion's League, CEV cup, Challenge Cup like that (could be getting their names wrong), I dont think that foreign limit exists. Thats why last year Alicia Glass primarily only played in Champion's League and not really any domestic league games - because they want to maybe use more attackers (like Kim) for those roles.

Huge difference between the two. Larson is now getting paid commensurate with the best players in the world. Kelsey will make more than her PR contract, but it's still just a fraction of Jordan's new contract.

Someone else has already mentioned this, but do people think it might be a bad idea that Kristen is playing for Fenerbache? Will she be a bench player? If she really wants to be competitive in time for the Olympics, shouldn't she be trying to maximize all her on-court playing time?

I find it amazing what people think they know and post as fact on a forum like this. You are not even close to being in the neighborhood on Larson's contract.
