Given the amount of money they can make overseas it may be a long road to develop that kind of structure here in the states. Sponsors with some deep pockets needed!!!

As for someone (Larson) who is among the top 5 in the world as a OH I would think her contract would be well north of $500K.

Larson in the neighborhood of 500k, I could see Robinson 75-100k. I find it amazing what people think they know and post as fact on a forum like this. You are not even close to being in the neighborhood on Larson's contract. I'm not?

Sonja Newcombe signed with newly promoted Idmanocagi in the Turkish League last week. She'll have a lot of passing duties because the other outside is Wang Yimei

Doesn't the league have a limit on how many foreigner players who can suit up and play during a match? Someone else has already mentioned this, but do people think it might be a bad idea that Kristen is playing for Fenerbache? Will she be a bench player? If she really wants to be competitive in time for the Olympics, shouldn't she be trying to maximize all her on-court playing time? I thought the same thing, but now I think it might not be a bad idea? Unless Bossetti really struggles, I doubt she'll see the court. However, it might be helpful to practice with/against some of the top players in the world (i.e. Kim, Montano, and Lo Bianco).

No, you are not. I would love to know where your information is coming from that made you believe you were. To rustyroosterroot - What is your guess on what Jordan signed for? I think it would have taken a substantial offer for Jordan to leave Kazan. I believe she might have been the second highest paid player behind Gamova.

Doesn't the league have a limit on how many foreigner players who can suit up and play during a match? Yes. But I believe that limit only applies to domestic league matches. That limit I believe is a tricky one so someone here can better explain it. In domestic league matches, I think if u face another champion's league team, u can have more foreigners playing. For international (European) tournaments, like Champion's League, CEV cup, Challenge Cup like that (could be getting their names wrong), I dont think that foreign limit exists. Thats why last year Alicia Glass primarily only played in Champion's League and not really any domestic league games - because they want to maybe use more attackers (like Kim) for those roles. that rule has changed now every team can use 3 foreigners in dom league, as for who will play i guess hitters ( both opps and ohs ) have higher chance. it was same for very long time don't see that changing unless injury happens. mbs and setters are sec choice when limit is applied. If we say that Kim is pretty much irreplaceable that leaves two spots for three foreigners to fight for not a bad chance i say

All you have to do is beat out Montano as Opp, or Lucia Bosetti as a receiver-attacker. Easy as pie! I think that's the problem, at least Glass got to play European competition--I don't think Richards will be making it there either because it's the depth chart, and not foreigner restrictions, at issue, unless she pulls out some Nomi Malone realness.
