I probably will, but what's the significance?

I think lots of people don't know much about the history of some of the bigger leagues. If you don't teach us about it, we're just going to learn it on the streets.

Ironic praise considering how I've lapsed again. But the next one should be up no later than tomorrow, and quite possibly later today. With no beach tournament to cover and only two World League matches a day, I should be able to concentrate more on this this week.

All right, OVC preview is up. Insert platitudes about trying to pick up the pace here.

The next one's gonna be pretty hard to write.

Thanks. I am really enjoying reading these. I think Oakland may surprise next year. I have seen a few of its incoming class play and they are an impressive group.

Thanks for the insight. It wouldn't surprise me much to see Oakland finish above where I SWAG'd them. I really saw no difference from team 4 through team 7 in the SWAG, and not /a lot/ of difference all the way to the top. It's why it's a SWAG you see

It is great to see consideration given to so many teams. A few observations on the Horizon League: Milwaukee with a healthy Kayla Price is a different team- she has amazing hands. UIC should surprise, as they have a solid cast of returners and some very good young talent. With so much parity in the league this year, the small things, like travel schedule and timing of injuries and even referee play could give just about any team a chance at the title.

If I remember correctly, Milwaukee didn't have another setter on the roster last season when Price got hurt. Obviously a team will struggle with no setter. I'd expect to see them return to the upper echelon of the Horizon League this year.

Doesn't seem like one injury should be able to put a team in such a position. I have updated the post to reflect this discussion. Thanks for the info

I meant one injury leaving a team without a true setter available to play.
