When Jim woke Aurora thought that was a really dick move I've only seen bits of the movie, but wasn't it kind of the crux of the movie that she thought so too? Wait, from Wikipedia: Aurora Perrineau as Celeste, Aurora's best friend So the character named Aurora had a best friend whose character was named Celeste but the actress playing Celeste was named Aurora?

Sure, but its such a dick move that it transcends from the screen to real life (if it makes any sense). I sent Chris a message letting him know that my thoughts. Ending was meh, kind of surprised there were no kids. So the character named Aurora had a best friend whose character was named Celeste but the actress playing Celeste was named Aurora? Yeah, noticed that. Weird, huh? Also weird was Lawrence Fishburne only appeared for like 10-15 minutes, and Andy Garcia only for 10-15 seconds.

Andy Garcia only for 10-15 seconds. Almost certainly means his scenes were cut. Can't imagine they would hire him intending to only show him for 10 seconds.

I remembered why I got annoyed with super hero movies -- the insertion of "sneak preview" or "teaser" (don't know the technical term for this) at the end of the closing credits. In Ant-Man, after the general credits, there's a scene of Dr. Pym (played by Michael Douglas) revealing the Wasp suit to his daughter (played by Evangeline Lily), foreshadowing the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp. Then the detailed credits roll. After the detailed credits, there's another teaser showing Captain America and the Falcon meeting with some guy they're interrogating. Then, the film finally ends. It's bad enough they used to have one teaser, now in Ant-Man, and perhaps other super hero films, they've got two!

It's bad enough they used to have one teaser, now in Ant-Man, and perhaps other super hero films, they've got two! Marvel started this with Iron Man, and did this get things rolling! Every Marvel movie released fans were expecting end credit scenes...not one, but two. Even did it for some of the X-Men reboot, as well as Tim Holland's Spiderman. Heck of a way to keep the fans hooked, and wanting more. The Spiderman end credit scene was hilarious when Peter walked into his room only to see Aunt May holding his Spiderman outfit, and Aunt May turns to see Peter and yells "WHAT THE F", blacking out before she could finish. GAWD, love Marissa Tomei as Aunt May. Far cry from the comic book and previous versions of Aunt May, but fun nonetheless. Venom also had an end credit scene that got fans going crazy...Woody Harrelson as Carnage. Only Avengers: Endgame didn't have any end credit scenes.

It's a fad that has come and gone many times. Marvel recently has been keen on it. Side note, originally trailers were called trailers because they did come after the movie. But those were different days than now.

I just watched the Marvel's Into the Spider Verse and kind of wished I didn't. I really wasted my time.
Dolemite w/ Eddie Murphy was fun.
I look forward to The Irishman in a few days.

Watched Bridesmaid with Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, was ok. Thought Rebel Wilson and Matt Lucas’ sister-brother characters Bryan and Gil were very creepy, specially the part when they’re both in the tub and Gil help Bryan shave her armpits...well played. But the highlight of the movie was when they went bridesmaid dress shopping after eating the mystery meat from the Brazilian BBQ restaurant. Melissa McCarthy’s Megan character using the sink as the toilet: Megan: “What did we eat?!” Becca: (whines) Megan: “This sinks a goner!” Becca: “What are you doing?” Megan: “It’s coming out of me like lava....)
And Lillian trying to make it to the bathroom across the street: Lillian: (weaving through traffic in a Lady Juju wedding gown) “It’s happening, It’s happening....” (squats down on the road)”it happened. It happened...” Whitney (store owner): “Don’t you dare ruin that dress!” Annie: “ You’re really doing it, aren’t ya? You’re %*$#ting in the street!”
Simply hilarious! 🤣

Just watched Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
Not bad, quite entertaining though the end threw me for a loop. Was hoping Credence turned out to be Voldemort, but we know that’s a different storyline.
What’s up with JK Rowlings? Seems like her only theme about the Wizadry world is you have the baddies trying to take over the world, and the good wizards trying to save it.
Nagini controversy nonsense aside, was quite an entertaining movie.

I watched that movie with a gymnasium full of elementary students. I thought it was well-made, but totally inappropriate for young minds. Mr. Rogers is rolling around in his grave. If you didn't have ADD going in, you'll have it afterwards. Those kids were going nuts.

Speaking of Fred, I also saw A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood yesterday. If someone had told me back in the 1970s that someday I'd be watching a movie about Fred Rogers 50 years later, I would have thought that was the craziest thing ever.
It was a weird movie and not just because it's not really about Fred. It also seems to make a strong case for Fred as being the 2nd coming of Jesus. The weirdest part? I liked it.

If you have kids, Abominable is really good. Fun for grown ups, too.
