That is awesome! I am so happy for him! He is a very stand up guy who deserves this! He will definitely help Auburn keep moving in the right direction! Interesting point of view. Awesome is definitely a thought an apologist would have but not sure all involved think it is awesome! Wish Chuck the best at Auburn. Rick had some tough shoes to fill with Kris leaving and Chuck will need to step up to the challenge. So what is your beef with Chuck?

This post is inaccurate and grossly inappropriate. Please remove. Ummm wow. That seems like a pretty strong reaction to someone's hypothesis. Which part are we worried about? That he's someone's boyfriend? That he's taking the job across town? That the girlfriend is the Head Coach? Maybe that "Hmmm" should have more m's? Sleep rock thy brain, And never come mischance us twain! Madam, how like you this play? The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

So what is your beef with Chuck? Definitely no beef with Chuck. Follow the timeline and tell me how this is awesome. I'm glad for Chuck. Obviously he's a good guy and coach. GT was a tough deal. His wife's health and pregnancy are important. Auburn's a lot closer to ATL than other destinations. It is awesome because he persevered and survived situations that would have been devastating to his family and career. It is awesome because a good guy gets to stay in coaching and do what he loves. There is randomness in the universe, you can bemoan that fact or you can get over it.

And the mountain climbing and being featured on the Weather Channel and the professional bull riding should help get Auburn an SEC title in no time! I need to remember to add "Featured on The Bozo Show" to my resume.

Hmmm ... maybe the Asst. boyfriend went to work for the newly hired HC girlfriend across town .... This post is inaccurate and grossly inappropriate. Please remove. You need to check out the Cincinnati threads regarding coaching moves if you think that harmless post was inappropriate.

The University of Chicago has hired an assistant, which will open a head position at a local NAIA program.

Likely accurate about who is going where. But inaccurate about dating. LaSalle head coach is recently engaged and so to report her as "girlfriend" seems way off base.

I feel like your point of view is in the minority and not sure what you mean that it is an opinion of an apologist and not all involved think it is awesome. Let's see who think it is awesome- family, auburn, friends. Yep those are all that really matter. Obviously you don't know Chuck well at all because if you did then you would know how well he does his job. Chuck stepping up to the challenge is no problem contrary to what you think. You make it obvious your opinion is made from ignorance.

Your guys weird attacks on this poster is what is odd in my mind. Chuck is a great guy and coach, but this poster barely touches him and you guys are like a mob on him. Like I stated, Chuck is good and I think he'll do great at Auburn, but you guys are like a pack of rabid dogs. Relax, he's not beyond criticism like everyone else.

Could this be related to the DII opening right down the road?
