I give up, who is this "other" assistant? I only know Allison and Justin from their days at Baruch. They are good volleyball people. I hope she finds another job and I hope this "other" person swallows a bag of tacks. The other assistant, prior to being released by Allison, was the assistant under the previous HC. There was tension from the word go with this assistant. There were stories of this person even creating dissension between certain key players on the women's team against Allison (and Justin) until those same players saw the truth for themselves. LOOK, as I stated and I will stand by this statement, it was a TOXIC environment ALL AROUND. Allison and Justin are GREAT friends, and incredible volleyball people (family and coaches). It is a shame that a school like Coker (who I thought was looking to grow) would allow such things to happen. If I know Allison and Justin (and I do know them well) they will land on their feet in a better situation and doing what they love with this great sport of volleyball!!! I WISH THEM ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD!!!

I know Coker very well and what I can say is: the previous assistant has not been on staff at Coker since mid-late August June. After being relieved of her duties, she left Coker. She caused tension under the previous HC. Upon being relieved of her vb duties (shortly after Stack was hired) she could have remained on in an event coordinator role under AD. She did not. EDIT: The previous assistant did not work with the vb teams in any capacity following Nov. of 2013. She then left Coker in June of 2014. What I do know of the AD is that she takes every allegation or inquiry seriously. The athletic department has grown a great deal since she took over. Any situation involving a coach and his/her student-athletes will not be taken lightly, nor should it be. Do not let personal relationships cloud judgment. While I do not doubt there were issues on the institution's side, the Stacks are not entirely blameless in this situation. To use rhetoric that assesses all blame on Coker is in poor taste.

I remember Allison and Justin way before they start even dating each other. I love Justin, he is great guy and good volleyball coach. Allison on the other hand had few problems at her Baruch time, specifically at the beginning. But it was all good, since Justin came on board. I am sorry to see what happens to this young family! They left good jobs, friendly environment just to get kicked out in the middle of first season. This is completely wrong! It will be really hard to find another job after such a fiasco!

First- this was their second year at the helm. Second- didn't she accept a head position at another DII school, only to quit a month or two in, to move to Coker? Karma.

Time to apply to St. Cloud State. Upon reading the article it says she also teaches, hence the higher salary, and perhaps the lack of results. Maybe teaching is deemed more important than winning.

It's really cloudy at St. Cloud State. I guess part of that money came from teaching classes.

If someone has something to say about the way the Stack family does their business then they should do so openly and notoriously instead of gossiping about 'what they heard' or 'what they read' like a bunch of sixth graders.
Whether they resigned or something else happened, to suggest that "Coker is better off without them" clearly shows you know nothing about the integrity, volleyball IQ and success that the Stack family has enjoyed and continue to possess.
To say that Justin got the job because of his wife is a blatant disrespect to a guy who forgot more volleyball than a great deal of charlatans who call themselves NCAA coaches will ever know. The guy has a reputation for doing more with less and a resume where he can pitch his tent wherever he wants. Good for him that he chose to do so with his wife.
The ones that hold them (the Stacks) blameless? This is not done so under the premise of poor taste but under the presumption of integrity that is as solid at it is time-tested. What about Coker's integrity? To say that they would not allege something without a good reason is just not going to cut it.

Settle down Francis.
Truth is, no one on here knows exactly what happened - just like every story.
As much as you want to trust in your BFFs, things happen. Bad things happen. Inappropriate things happen.
There are at least 3 sides to the story. The school's side, the coaches' side, and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

A resume where he can pitch his tent anywhere he wants? Wow. It is so obvious to me now, the reason I can't find a great coaching job is that my resume must be much longer, wider and made of water proof materials....VIOLA!!!! PAC 12 here I come!!!!
