Regarding the Colorado State article, I've never heard a coach be so noble about the responsibility he takes in losing this player. If he really means it, seems like that is the kind of coach players would want to play for. I'm impressed!

You can be tough, as long as you’re not toxic. Some coaches don't know the difference.

Some people messaged me some transfers and I haven't been able to get on a computer recently to update the first page but here are some of the transfers people messaged me. DI Transfers Setters -Erica Handley - 6'1" Sophomore - Syracuse/Minnesota -Taylor Johnson - 5'11" Sophomore - Long Beach State/Tennessee Others to DI -Mercedes Vaughn - 6'0" Junior Middle Blocker - College of Southern Idaho/Florida State -Alyssa Povey - 6'3" Junior Middle Blocker - College of Southern Idaho/Tennessee Tech -Alex Johnson - 6'5" Junior Outside Hitter - College of Southern Idaho/UMES Povey and Johnson played only 24 & 25 SETS out of a possible 116. Did TT and UMES just look at their height and take them? Or are they legit players? Vaughn was at Tenn before CSI... so I can see where FL State would be interested. Blanchfield is transferring to Northern Iowa as well.

I understand Haleigh Hampton has left Long Beach State, no word on where she is heading (or, given her long litany of injuries, whether she even wants to continue playing). Cal state?

I think she is done with volleyball. I wouldn't blame her with the injuries that has occurred in her career. However she has had a great career so good luck to her if she really isn't playing anymore.

Jenelle Hudson, setter from Iowa State, is transfering to Long Beach State Homesickness? This is the 2nd PrepVB senior ace from that great 2012 recruiting class to go back to her old stomping grounds. Both were starters. Ouch for ISU.

McVey, a 5.6 dig/set libero, rumored leaving Mississippi State along with OH Sassin and previously mentioned RS Gardiner. So State gets their first 2 HM AAs in program history and they both leave at the end of the season. Not typically how you recommend building a program. Resignation of Assistant AD is also rumored to be related to the same issues as the transfers.

Very good player but the team is young and wont be in contention for awhile.

Any word on where Sassin is going? Haven't heard anything yet. Don't know much about Sassin but McVey will be an excellent pickup for some program.

This is a big loss IMO, Lawrence has all american potential. I wouldn't be surprised if she goes back to California, perhaps UCSB or another big west school.

If she does in fact want to be closer to home, as the article mentioned, St. Mary's is a couple of miles from her hometown. Cal just a few more. Not to mention USF, Pacific, and Santa Clara.
