Shes a freshman right now, who is shaping up to be a star. People have been following her already and I think she the youngest person on the junior national team It was the YNT, not the JNT. If I am not mistaken, Lexi played for the U-23 World Tournament where she was the youngest player on the team.

I think she will eventually choose Stanford, even though I heard she likes Penn St also. She is only a HS frosh so lets wait a couple years til we claim her as one of the best recruits. Think Falyn Fonoimoana ! Falyn was still an amazing player, but things happened. does she have the grades for stanford

At the beginning of the season she was sitting with some of the Texas recruits. Looks like good ole Texas if all things go well!

I don't know anything about her or her recruiting situation, but I'd be very surprised to see her go to Texas. She seems like she'd stay in California, maybe even Washington (since all the hipsters are moving up there nowadays).

USC would be the front runner, other schools such as UCLA, Stanford and even Washington are the other contenders. I have no idea if she's gonna commit soon but seems like her recruitment will be a dog fight. IMHO, the earlier she commits, the better for USC.

Wow... c'mon, she's 14. Let her be a kid, a high school student, play club, and then when she commits everyone can talk. The whole recruiting situation (all schools and sports) is messed up, why are we looking at 12, 13, 14 year-olds to be the next big thing anyway. What if she decides she doesn't want to play anymore, or (g-d forbid) she has a serious injury? I know for schools it's all about competition and staying ahead of the rest, but it's such a crap shoot and too much pressure for kids that are only 14. You want them to decide what school, program, and career they are going to have, at 14!?!? Think about what you were doing at 14, you can't even drive!! The NCAA has looked into changing the recruiting rules and restricting the age more, and they should. Schools/coaches should not be able to contact a kid until they START their junior year, no email, snail mail, phone calls, or even club contacting.

This site is to talk about volleyball and she so happens to play volleyball and is really good at it at a very young age. No harm done. Bye.

Part of the discussion is about future stars of the game just as it is on any of the dozens of other sports message boards. An outstanding young player in any sport is going to draw attention. My guess is she doesn't read volleytalk anyway. I don't see anyone demanding she make a decision about her college selection or career. Any player in any sport at any point in their career can have an injury or burn out. I agree with you schools recruit too early and make offers too early. There is nothing I can do about that and speculation on this thread is not going to impact NCAA rules.
