Anybody know if there are plans on having another Wahine spring match next year over here in Maui like they did with Nebraska? I don't believe so. Don't they usually announce those already?

I know most people won't care about this thread, but this is for my fellow wahine fans. What are you thoughts about next season? I'm actually looking forward to next season. I picture the starting lineup to be OH1: Nikki Taylor OH2: kalei Greeley OPP: keani passi MB: kalei Adolpho and jade vorster S: tayler higgins L: savannah kahakai They will have a younger roster, but I think this group will mesh will together, and Nikki Taylor and tayler higgins will take on the leadership role well. Hawaii will need a lot more production from the middle to be successful in 2014 and I just don't see it coming from Vorster. Adolpho has a slightly better shot of holding on to her spot. As good as Higgins is, I think this team could have serious passing problems with at least two, if not three new passers out on the court. Her setting could be put to the test if she is continually dealing with poor passes.

I hope Hawaii gets a transfer.... I really hope they do to and a good transfer. I would like to see a MB transfer. I'm just not sold on Adolpho anymore. I was really hoping she would really breakout this year but she really didn't. There were times she was just amazing but I was looking for consistency with her. She seem really slow this year compared to last season. I do hope she can prove me wrong next season. I liked Vorster when the set was in her range, I think she really didn't click too much this season with Uiato but I'm liking the athleticism of Higgins and I know she'll get much better come pre-season. Tai on the other hand, I see her as a backup next season. I'll leave Taylor on the RS for a big block and put Passi on the leftside opposite from Kreely.

wahinefan44,
Pops needs to do something about rejuvenating the fanbase after such a disappointing season. Everyone is still a bit iffy on how they should continue feeling toward their Na Wahine. *Yes they're ALWAYS beloved, but
Someone suggested this a while back on VolleyShots for re-invigoration. Of course Cindy is a reporter and merely a fan.
Spring 2014 Ball: SSC, $5.00-7.00 General Admission Two Courts, ran simultaneously (string an all encompassing net between the courts like they do in Hilo @ Haili for the finals)
BYU (Provo) BYU-Hawai'i
vs.
UH (Manoa) UH-Hilo
I'm positive it would fly.

Dave has said kahakai is an amazing passer, and keani is also (looking at her junior college play) Nikki is good, but needs so work

I tried looking for updated clips of her this season but I couldn't find any updated ones on youtube. There's alot of great talk about her from the Canadians. I hope they're right about her.

Dave has been following her for like 3 years I believe. I saw some clips of her from like a year ago, and she seems very good. Post a good block and can slam it. I'm not sold on huff yet.

As far as having transfers, UH has a big headstart this time around compared to last Spring, when they had all the drama with the Croson issues. With no scholarship available Shoji couldn't commit to any inquiries from transfers calling him early January 2013, until the Croson drama finally came to an end with her decision to transfer after Spring. Time was a factor and no transfers was a result. This time around Shoji has at least one scholarship available for a transfer. It's past history but have to mention from a pretty reliable source that Kelsey Robinson was one of those who inquired about transferring to UH.

If this is true and she did transfer, uh would of been a FOOOOORCE

My guess also is that the Volunteer Assistant coach needs to go. It probably ONLY causes "stir" on the team; it more than likely is into gossip/cattiness for pilikia among the females. I'd replace him with Tanya Fu'umatu-Anderson (outta Punahou). Who's the volunteer assistant and how is he causing "stir" on the team? I thought Tsuji was off the team?
