So the 8-man rosters are set for the first week. Going by what swaneys posted, we expand to 9 starting next week, so this week everyone's 9th round pick is ineligble. I pulled a late nighter to get it gridded in terms of schedules, for the first week, so that's done and ready. It's going to be a pain this year with more teams, so please be patient if the results are not in the same day as the last game of that week.
I'd like to suggest that Middleman be allowed to have his 8th and 9th round picks flipped, as a true freshman must be active each week.

It might have been before you made your arrival. A player is required to have a libero designated and a true freshman on the roster, but only the libero has to be an active player. True freshman does not have to be active. See: volleytalk.proboards.com/post/1112707/thread

Wait a sec, our Frosh doesn't have to be active? So I can just draft and stash a Frosh the whole season so long as he is on the roster?

Here is the last thing listed about the Freashman. The first year we did this, it was set up so that the freshman was active every week. That would seem like a must, otherwise requiring a true freshman is pointless. So in a given week, is it fair to say you must designate a libero and your active five plus your true freshman before the start of the first game of that week? Also, with the different weekend scenarios for the different conferences, last year a week would sometimes include Sunday games while other weeks it was through Saturday. The goal was to split the schedule as evenly between weeks as possible. This year there are some Sunday matches that would make the weeks imbalanced (3 games one week and 1 the other). Is it okay to set the weeks like last year? Also, games against non-US opponents, alumni teams, and community colleges do not count towards the stats. If it's okay with everyone, shall I set up the schedule by plugging into the grid we used last year? I think you raise a good point on the freshman. I think that would make sense, so 7 play and one sits each week. The only thing we have to worry about (if it comes about via the draft/pickups) is if the freshman is designated the libero. At which point I would see a player being able to put another player in, regardless of age. Doesn't seem too problematic, just covering bases. Also, what is our stance on RS freshmen? I like the idea of going solely true freshman, for the hype and sheer scouting skills/luck, but if enough people want redshirts, we can do it I was just going to modify the schedule from last year anyways, so if you feel so inclined, by all means - Thanks! I think for consistency and normalcy, lets use the same methodology on determining weeks. It seems like having the true freshman active is part of the challenge and it was agreed to. Here is what Stanlifornia posted and no obligation came. Ok so to recap: Players picked: 8 Players active each week: 7 From 7 active players: 1 must be designated a Libero. 1 must be a true Freshman. So if you draft a Freshman Libero, that covers both correct? Clearly he stuck by the mandatory true freshman rule, because he took a second true freshman. The rules keep changing as we go, and they don't need to. Making the true freshman active every week and Reversing middleman's 8th and 9th picks accomplish this.

^^ Let's go with that. Like I've been saying, I really don't have a preference on things, so I'm always willing to change it people disagree with stuff

I sent swaneys a PM and also posted that Conrad Kaminski would be replacing Ryan Mather, and he was available at the end of the 8th round.
