You may want to also look up "hyperbole" in addition to "great".
And love how you talk about being positive and then go on your negative rant about both Neal and Allison.
So add "rant" to your homework assignment.
And perhaps "homophobia". Dude. I'm married , and he's great lol so I wouldn't assume anything! He was a setter on the national team back in the JE days and traveled the world as a setter so I think I know a bit about setters. Homophobia, hardly, as stated early my husband is amazing. There is a difference between a nagging queen and a masculine gay man. No homework required. Done my share. As admitted earlier , I stated Neal sucked bad and if we didn't use her against Wisconsin the outcome may have been different, who knows. As far as Allison, lmao, absolutely horrible. I sat with her over some good food at times and she even said setting has become very difficult for her, it showed. So once again , shut up bro! Believe me . You don't want to have a "chat"!!! So when you were having "food" with Allison, did you let her know how much she sucked - - that she hadn't improved from her freshman to senior year - - that she was off her whole career? Or were you as disingenuous with her as you are here? And to be clear - when you call me out about "constantly nagging out girls and putting them down as well as the coaching staff, . . . but honestly dude, if you have nothing positive to say then shut up" . . . maybe, just maybe you should not display the same negative / "nagging out girls and putting them down" behavior you are whining about. Some might call that hypocrisy but I'll leave that to you to come to terms with. So again, before you post again, let me recommend,

And please stay away from "our girls", because "our girls" would not want a hanger on slamming a former and current teammate. That is if you even know anyone which I have my strong doubts.

Let's get back to talking about Texas Volleyball. Who will be responsible for coaching & developing our setters? Besides recruiting, losing Salima's setter expertise is a huge loss.
Didn't Tonya Johnson work with the outsides when she was previously with Texas?

Kinda funny they both went back to the schools they were assistants at before they left Texas and Georgia tech. Difference being Salima was a three time all american at penn state. Think Johnson went to lsu if I remember correctley. Both schools seems to have gotten better then average pickups I would say and both programs should continue to stay strong as well as some of the the other usual suspects(Stanford Nebraska usc ect).

Different in that Tonya is leaving a head coaching job for an assistant/associate head coaching job, while Salima is making a lateral move (title-wise, I believe). I forget Tonya's responsibilities under Elliott. Obviously, she was around to help Texas get back to the Final Four in 2008 for the first time in a long time. And, probably helped recruit Ashley Engle and Destinee Hooker, as well as a bunch of others (perhaps Moriarty, Magee, Christian, Armstrong, Paolini, Doris, Adams, Faucette).

That is if you even know anyone which I have my strong doubts. In regards to the "nagging" I own up to nagging about her and how absolutely Allison's setting was and how bad Neal's passing and backrow hurt this team, but here's the difference between you and I, you are CONSTANTLY putting down the posts of others thinking you're gods gift to the sport. I've seen it. THAT is what I'm telling you to just SHUT UP about. Every once in a while you have something productive to say, but it's few and far between, usually negative and bashing another posters comment because ELEVATION knows everything about Texas and the offense and defense and hell , even setting and hitting and passing etc etc etc blah blah blah. %*$# maybe you should take lima's spot, you know the team and production of the team so damn well. Don't ask me to explain how I know these awesome girls, it's none of your business, and just so you know, I bleed orange all over and I love "our girls" and believe me, you have NO IDEA what these girls want. If you only knew what these girls say off the court you'd be shocked. You do understand that when you're on a team such as volleyball, there is a term called cohesiveness, Bailey used it a lot and so did Engle when she was here in interviews and so did Eckerman, that's something Texas didn't have this year because of a certain person. Yes, guess who. Tons of distinction on the court with her setting and not paying attention to the staff etc etc. Don't tell me what I know and what I don't know, just keep on speculating because that's all you can do. As a person Allison is amazing, as a setter to set this team to another NT, not really. Oh and FYI, I never had to ask or bring it up, she did. On another note, I'm extremely excited for the 2014 team. Great setters and wonderful defense coming in to the backrow. Setters that are actually coachable. Just an excited deep team and can't wait to see what they are going to do. If you'd ever want to meet any of them just ask, I can arrange it, unless you're the type that waits after each match to run down and say hi LOL. I know who I know and I won't put it out on this site that's for sure out of protection of our lady horns, but just know it's none of your business. As stated before though, I'd love to chat about this rather than hide behind a keyboard. Oooop, I think I just heard your Grindr go off. Buh bye!

Oh wait, you mean you don't know what Tonya did while she was here? Holy hell, I'm going to pass out!

Assuming they continue to run the moonball offense, Salima won't be much of a loss. It's not like they were running some extremely fast and intricate offense when Salima was there.

Let's get back to talking about Texas Volleyball. Exactly, sorry just can't stand Elevation and always putting other posters' comments down. Anyways, I agree with you, and I'm extrememly excited that Tonya is coming back, she helped recruit a 4 year all american SETTER....and also the likes of Kisner, Engle, Faucette, Hooker. It will continue, this legacy of players at Texas. They will be great for a long time and JE built it right! I'm so excited to see what they all do with this offensive power they have at all positions with Tonya back and how (hopefully) improved the backrow becomes. It has always been my opinion with all the great power we have at the net, that if we had the ball control like the 2013 Wisky team what we could of done. Palmer was good but she couldn't do it alone. New faces and I'm excited for this new team. New uniforms too, and OMG they are crazy awesome! Lot's of cool stuff coming up!

No, you're right they weren't, it was extremely predictable, Texas was absolutely a one sided team, it gave a ton of time for opponents to camp out on Webster, and for some reason her Senior year, she didn't render the block useless and was dug a ton. This year however, they will attempt to run a quicker offense, now not saying how much quicker of a tempo, but it worked in 2012, when they won it all, when Texas can set on all cylinders they are hard to beat, but it all starts with a pass. Our hitters NOW in 2014 are very capable of blistering quicker tempos so hopefully we will see a change to that. Allison wasn't setting 4's she was literally setting to the moon, I agree, even some commentators would laugh because the ball would leave the screen and then drop back down to be contacted by the hitter LOL. And I have a 60 inch in my living room. Of course I re-watch every game on my genie but as a season ticket holder and one who travels to the away games it's tough to watch in person the stature of a Webster get blocked or dug because she can't get to a quicker tempo. Well this year will be the time to change all that. I agree with you!

Tonya was also part of the recruiting of Eckerman so I think she still has ties to current team from when she was an assistant.

I can't wait till April to watch them play! Many new faces and possible new positions. It is going to be very interesting to see where he plays Mirta and what her role will be and I can't wait to see the faster offense that Texas has been wanting to run. Also can't wait to watch Baker and how she has developed in the off season!
