Currently watching the sixth (and final) season of Better Call Saul. Better Call Saul is the prequel of Breaking Bad and having watched the latter, I know what happens to some of the key characters in Better Call Saul. However, there were a few characters in Better Call Saul that don't make an appearance at all in Breaking Bad. So, while watching Better Call Saul, naturally I wondered what became of these characters. Did they die in Better Call Saul? Run away? Obviously, I could look these characters up on the Internet, but I don't like to do that. I would rather watch the story unfold in the order in which it was told. So here are some questions (and thoughts) I had of these characters, as well as other elements of the plot: 1. What happens to Kim Wexler? My initial thought was that she was killed sometime in Better Call Saul because she's not mentioned at all in Breaking Bad. However, Jimmy (aka Saul) didn't appear to be a depressed or emotionally wrought character in Breaking Bad, so I thought perhaps nothing terrible happened to Kim.
2. What happens to Nacho Vargas? I now know from Season 6 that he dies. Maaan...I was bummed. I liked that character. I desperately hoped he might flee with his dad to some other part of the country.
3. What happens to Howard Hamlin? Kind of a d--k but really harmless character. My wife thought that the reason he's not mentioned in Breaking Bad is because Howard's life choices don't include interacting with the criminal element. He's a spoiled rich kid and he's disciplined enough to stay within his safe "upper class" universe.
4. What happens to Lalo Salamanca? He's a drug lord. I assumed he dies -- and I was right. Drug lords make themselves seen in Breaking Bad. If he's not there, he's probably six feet under.
5. Do Walter White and Jesse Pinkman make an appearance? If so, how much story overlap will there be between the two shows?
6. Does Lydia Rodarte-Quayle make an appearance? If so, why?
7. Does Hank Schrader, the DEA agent, make an appearance?
8. Do Walter White's wife and Hank Schrader's wife make an appearance?
Just finished watching last week. I watched breaking bad twice over the last few years. I had no desire to watch BCS. Then watched BCS after so many in here saying it was good. Do you want the answers? If you know anything about these two shows, you know many of those questions will be answered. I do have to say, I was sad for Nacho’s character as well, but it seemed like the only outcome. I thought the actor was great. Kim’s outcome was disappointing, but also made sense.

Do you want the answers? No. As I said, I want the story to unfold naturally in the order in which the writers intended. I don't like spoilers. Besides, I can look up the answers on the web if I wanted.

Well, tonight I'll be watching the series finale of Better Call Saul. No matter how it ends, it'll probably be on my list of top 10 TV shows of all time.

Top 10 (or 20, 30, etc.) lists are tricky. Do I rank them based on how much I enjoyed the show at the time I watched them during its original airing? Or do I re-rank them based on my current assessment based on a recent re-watching? A lot of shows I liked when I was younger (and less experienced of the art and craft of TV- and story-making) may not pass muster now that I'm older and know everything. My standard is higher now -- or I should say "different." But I can't re-watch every single TV show just to have a "fair" Top N list. That would be insane. I remember really liking The Wild Wild West when I was a kid in the 1970s. I haven't seen the show in about 50 years. I doubt I'll like it that much. Even if I do, it probably won't even make my Top 50 list. And also, were Cheers and Three's Company THAAAAT good if I re-watched them now?

Years ago, I was given the entire Wild Wild West collection on DVD, over 100 episodes. Surprisingly fun, all things considered, and one of the earlier iterations of the Steampunk concept, I'd imagine. Great intro theme and opening credits, too (the early version of the opening credits had an animated version of Jim West punching a woman trying to knife him...they dumped that part after the 1st season).

The reason to watch Bewitched was Elizabeth Montgomery.
I liked Barney Miller, even as a kid not always getting all the jokes.

I remember Streets of San Francisco from my childhood for a couple of things - one, since I lived in San Francisco, it was pretty exciting to see places you knew on TV. Also, it was the first time I ever heard of this guy:

Wolfgang, you didn’t like The Andy Griffith Show, but you liked Mayberry RFD? That’s just nonsense. And I think Cheers would hold up today.

Wolfgang, you didn’t like The Andy Griffith Show, but you liked Mayberry RFD? That’s just nonsense. And I think Cheers would hold up today. There was something wholesome and sweet about Mayberry that I loved as a kid. I didn't like Andy Griffith that much because I didn't like Opie and Andy Taylor reminded me of a creepy guy from my neighborhood. I wasn't a fan of Don Knotts in B/W. However, I grew to like his films. I'll probably like the show now if I rewatched it.

Top TV shows I loved as a kid in the 1970s and that I'll still (probably) love today. (I should say, I HOPE I'll still love them today.)
The Wild Wild West The Lucy Show (and Here's Lucy) The Fugitive The Lawrence Welk Show (...LOL!) Hogan's Heroes The Carol Burnett Show Mission: Impossible Hawaii Five-0 Mannix The Mary Tyler Moore Show The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour (...LOL!) M*A*S*H Kung Fu Rich Man, Poor Man (miniseries) Welcome Back, Kotter Three's Company The Love Boat (...LOL!) Fantasy Island (I actually loved the ironies in each episode's endings. One of the few TV shows with constant usage of the irony device.)
