Coastal's loss is HUGE. I think since this is their worst finish in a seeding event I think most likely some where around eight to 12. Long Island's second place finish will move them up but lower finishes in the other major seeding tourney's will keep them down around 15 or so. NVVA will likely move up also, but again lower finishes at the smaller seeding events is going to limit them to a 15 to 20 seeding.

Coastal 16s loss hurts and although they were down some starters that is part of it.
Ocean Bay 17s had a nice tourney and was they most consistent team and only dropped one game all tourney. BRYC like Eden 17s was up and down all tourney but put together a great defensive performance to knock off Pace this morning.
Eden 17s PSU recruit Donorovich showed signs of becoming a very special player in college.
Pace 17s is not a flashy team but they are very good and nice size all around.
Coastal 17s is a terrific team and plays at a very high consistent level.
They 18s final was entertaining and RVC's shorter OH had some highlight reel bics. He was on fire.
I think only 1 age group had the #1 seed actually win but the seeding was pretty much spot on all around.
It was especially nice to see so many of the top college program coaches in attendance.
It was a solid tourney and great weather. Wish the CC staff people weren't so hyper about the walk ways and doors. Geez

RVC wins 18s- what a surprise! 18s was a great tournament this year, but I would've like to have seen a standard 8-team gold bracket. Very close, lots of teams played great matches. A little surprised by MVP and VBVC's performance (or lack thereof), and very impressed with the Coastal 17 team. The Stanford recruit on Tampa Bay is legit. Got to see Ocean Bay 17s play for the first time today, they impressed me. Their setter is fantastic. A little surprised by Pace's loss, but after watching them play I question how they came in 3rd at California. They did not impress me at all. Great tournament! Can't wait for next year! For Pace 18, Colby Harriman (committed to Pepperdine) wasn't as the tourney due to an injury. It's a totally different team with him there. Surprised the Pace 18 team as well as they did without him (had a few ugly wins but managed to pull out ok). Anyone have results on who took remaining bids for all age groups?

Any one with a breakdown of how the bids were handed out? Did any teams decline their bids?

Top 5 things that happened at ECC
1. Coastal 16s losing in the quarter finals. This loss was HUGE for a team that looked to have national championship aspirations. Seeding at Nationals is so important. If Coastal 16s won the tournament, they would've been seeded 2nd or 3rd at Nationals. Now I believe they'll be top 10, but not higher than 5. 2. MVC coming to ECC validated the tournament. Because the Chicago bid is so big and difficult to win a bid. I'm betting more big clubs will come to Richmond because of the trickle down. ECC benefited from the change in bid tournaments. 3. Pace is still the premier club for every age group in the east coast. Look at the results, the numbers don't lie. 4. The Coastal 17s v MVC match was THE match of the tournament. No offense to RVC who won. But that match had everything. 5. ECC bid winners 16 and up have a lot to work on before Nationals. Good luck to them.

I would say eden was right on paces heels.....very well represented in all age groups, no 18s team this year. Eden finished higher in 14s, 16's.

Agree Pace was in top form again this year. Solid program and their kids always play hard.
I keep looking for exactly who accepted bids but the Richmond people never update their website and USA Bid results aren't in yet.
Regardless, it was another good ECC tourney and had some solid play. Very happy the Milwaukee people came out.

For 16's, with 26 teams entered, per the bid manual, the bids can only trickle down to 10th place. Of the top ten teams, all had bids except Ocean Bay, Pace and Warren. So those would be the three getting bids, unless someone declines. That would then open up additional at-large bids.

Crazy that USAV can't get the bid results posted yet... It's been a month!
