Looking forward to the annual worst teams at Nationals qualifying event. Anyone have early predictions for the top 3 in each age group. Who will get the trickle down bids?

For 16's.....
MVC, Warren Sixpak and Pace Bootlegger.
Good thing they got to 25 teams, this allows trickle down to 10th place. Otherwise, at 24 or less, only could trickle down to 8th. With six teams already having bids, potentially would have had only two bids available!

The classification under your name is perfect. Matt Anderson was on one of those worst teams.....seems to have worked out quite well for him.

What does Matt Anderson being on a bad Eden team have anything to do with the teams that qualify for Nationals being the worst teams at the National Championships? Look at the results. The winners of bids at this tournament do very poorly at Nationals.

Not the point....is it necessary to cast a negative light on the east coast? As if that sentiment helps grow the game? Is pointing out the obvious west coast dominance helpful? It gets tiresome. At least we have the balls to go out there and give it our best and occasionally surprise someone. We have contributed just fine to the world of volleyball.....no need to constantly take jabs.

I'm an east coast guy! Just hate the tournament and who comes out of it with a bid. The way the east coast has their bid tournaments, specifically 16 and under, allows for very poor talent to qualify for nationals. East coast should change to a Super tournament like Chicago just did. I suggest doing it at Spooky Nook. I admit the logistics need A LOT of work. BUT, It has potential and is in the middle of most of the east coast teams. Its just 3 east coast tournaments allowing for 9 bids with a total of 20-25 of the exact same teams qualifying for nationals. Look, going up to Nationals and trying is cool. But don't bring the 9th best east coast team out of 25 that register for the 3 tournaments. The reason West Coast teams look so strong is because its the top 10 of 60+.

Your post is filled with inaccurate statements and one lacking an appreciation of much knowledge of the history of Junior Volleyball. Sure nice to see the following clubs that have not been seen at the other two East Coast events.....WE WELCOME YOU! A5 Borinquen 352 Elite Milwaukee VBC Capital Sliders Front Range Upward Stars 2 River Volleyball Academy San Juan Triangle Texas Fusion Fortunately, we don't have small minded people like you running Boys Jr. ball and we still have people who want to see the sport expand and grow in areas relatively new to Boys Volleyball......especially the East Coast. Do you even realize how important it is to get boys club teams created from such well known and organized girls programs like Triangle,A5 and KIVA? This is huge for our sport. Stay positive my friend.....don't live in such a myopic world.

Your example of Coastal doing well at Nationals is cool but irrelevant to this debate. Coastal won their bids at other bid tournaments. My point is the teams who win bids in Richmond beside PR generally do poorly at Nationals. Lets make a bet. The teams that won a bid in Chicago will do better than the teams that win a bid in Richmond.

So teams like the one Anderson played on shouldn't go to to nationals so that the talent can be showcased? Some pretty big contributors to our collegiate programs and gasp! The USA program are east boys. National scouts want to see this talent....these teams are good. So what if they aren't to the caliber of top 10 Cali teams? I'm assuming you want the sport to grow? Then these opportunities need to be offered. USA program knows it, collegiate coaches know it.....you? Well you'll figure it out.

Just for example. Out of this group of teams in the upcoming tournament REALLY deserve a bid? You speak a both is ut growing the game. I want more teams than your 10 clubs coming. I want that list two 5 times that. That's why we need one big tournament just like Chicago this year. This is just the 16’s age group but I feel like I could put this down for every age group.

I get your point but as an example Coastal's 16-2 team won a bid at the BECC and almost knocked balboa bay 16's out of the BJNC. You never what's going to happen. And teams do improve by the end of the season. Nationals is a 36 team tournament so the last 6 teams are going to struggle whether they are from CA or VA. If any Californian teams want to come take one of our bids, then let them. The talent level drops off significantly after the top 8 or 10 teams in CA as well.

Not sure about southern california but at least in northern california, high school season is still going on so you will not be seeing any of those teams going out for this tournament.
