During this meeting I took the oportunity to ask him if it was possible to get a scolarship in order to play in an US university in my case Indeed since I've started playing libero 2 years ago, it's been a dream to come one day and play volleyball while finishing my degrees in an US University
Here some informations about myself

Position: Libero
Height: 5 feet and 7 inches Strenghts: motivation, quick learner, fast
Combining high level sports and studies has been a part of my whole life but it can be overwhealming in France That's i woud like to know what is a typical day for an athlete in the university. Also when exactly does the volley ball season begin

I can't refer you to any program, but I would note that you should ask someone about how much eligibility you would have and whether or not you need to receive permission from your current university, due to NCAA rules. You would also probably need to get into a graduate program, and that may be an issue.
There is typically a five year window to complete all NCAA eligibility, starting with the initial full-time enrollment at any college or university. From your telling, you would have two years.
There is also Division II, which has some more lenient rules on age. A more interesting situation would be club volleyball, which can be at some schools and where scholarship rules can be flexible. However, my understanding is that there are typically few scholarships at that level and lower funding in general.

In France you don't need any kind permission to get a transfer to go to another university because there are no rules when it comes to athletics Athletics in french universities are not the same, there are few divisions and less teams
I wouldn't mind playing in NCAA II at all it would be still a great opportunity and a great experience for me
But in any case I am not able to pay the tuiton fees on my own even for one year A scholarship is kind of mandatory for me
Thanks for your help

I would download a copy of the NCAA rules.
As far as I can tell, you would not need permission to contact an NCAA athletic department because you obviously are not currently at an NCAA or NAIA member school. However, it does sound as if you would still need to get some sort of permission letter (from your current school) in order to be immediately eligible to participate in competition. As I have read the rules, the NCAA makes no distinction in requiring this permission regardless of where the student is transferring from. I do understand that they may hear such a request and think it's odd, but you need to follow the rules and not them.
The NCAA is a bureaucracy. They have rules that primarily relate to other institutions following these same rules. Obviously your current university would not have much opportunity to understand these rules. I understand that transferring from a European university can get complicated.
Good luck in your search.

I used to play as an outside hitter but on the third division (Nationale 3) and I still play with the university on this position. But in that case it's on a lower level not like the second best level of the French championship
If it's for a libero position I don't mind participate in the tuitions fees
But in any case I'm still on the search step that's the difficult part I know it's kind of late but I still believe it will be possible
