From what I've read, the next Summer Olympic video game in 2008 will have volleyball (not sure if indoor or outdoor or both). There are a few companies that is interested seeing how well that is received and if it its successful (which no Olympic games have been) then they would like to make a game. Personally I would love a X360 or PS3 volleyball game but I doubt we will see one for a long time. I also think that a volleyball game would be hard to control because you'd have to aim your digs, sets, and hits very quickly.

Summer Heat Beach Volleyball for PS2 is pretty realistic. I have fun playing it all the time Not really, considering how long the rallys last. It's pretty unrealistic in that aspect. I remember having a rally last a little over 2 minutes (yes I timed it) b/c the computer would dig up the ball and I would dig up the ball too. Especially if you have the game difficulty set at Very Hard, be prepared to sit in front of the tube trying to put a kill or block down. It's fun and arcade style, which is what makes the game appealing. Good point, the rallies never seem to end in the hardest difficulty and the players never seem to tire. But still it is fun and the controls make it as real as possible. Are there any indoor volleyball games?

Man, i just posted but it's not showing up. That looks like one of the best looking indoor volleyball games that I've seen. I remember as a kid in the early 90's playing the Sega Super Volleyball game with my sister pretending I was Ctvrtlik or Timmons. That game was awesome but wasn't really realistic because of it's view.

I'll second the Beach Spikers recommendation. Even though it's the lame beach game and has stupid quirks like counting a block as a touch, it's still much better than the dreadful summer heat or DOA/Outlaw wankfests. And they're all lame beach games, too. If anyone's seen the motion sensing tech in the Wii console, and specifically Wii Sports, it would be natural to make a volleyball game in the future. There's already a tennis game, so the serves and attacks would only need a bit of tweaking from there and the digging can run modified off the Boxing dodge. Still working on getting the defensive roll motion

PS3 won't even do well as early predictions though because it cost $500 and a lot of people can't afford that.

The PS3 is ridiculous... I think Sony will likely lose money on it.

I would buy a college indoor game if it didnt suck. Sadly there is no way there is enough money in one for them to do it.
It's probably hard to make into a video game too, it's so subtle... football tends to be a game of feet, whereas volleyball seems to be much more about inches. It's just like how in hockey games theyve never really developed a good system for shooting the puck. Shooting a hockey puck is so precise, and a few inches makes the difference between scoring and not scoring.
It's a lot easier to control a runningback or throw a a wide receiver...

That would be awesome. I picture Pavan on the front of an EA Sports 07 NCAA College Volleyball game.

Actually if EA made an NCAA volleyball game, Pavan would not be able to be on the cover until after she was done with college volleyball.
