Rare to say this, but 3 NY teams could make drastic improvements on past years... U Buffalo, Niagara and Syracuse (although all are young). Change for the better seems to be on the horizon.

Probably the team with the most question marks is Penn State who I have predicted will see a drop from last year. So are you predicting somebody else will win the B1G? I sure am. I predict the Badgers win the Big Ten by a narrow margin and I'm not sure who comes in second.

I agree with C4ndlelight that ASU will be a surprise this year, with more to come over the next few seasons. There is a steady stream of talent headed their way.

Look for the University of Portland Pilots to make great strides with former UCLA All American and USA National Team Member, Nellie Spicer Coleman, at the helm.

I think ASU will overtake Oregon as the team that will challenge the top teams from the middle of the pack. The proverbial iron is hot for ASU. They had excellent back-to-back classes but I don't see the "steady stream" Garand talked about (unless there are some commits I haven't heard about). Long-term, I don't think they're overtaking Oregon as the Ducks probably won't make a huge leap in 2014 but will start getting really good after that.

I think ASU will overtake Oregon as the team that will challenge the top teams from the middle of the pack. I don't know if I'm buying into the ASU love. They're returning pretty much everyone - from a team that was just north of mediocre last season. They're not getting any help from the 2014 recruiting class, which means multiple players on the current squad really need to make a leap in their game in order to move up to the top four. Which isn't impossible, but it's tough to count on. I also don't see ASU killing it on the recruiting trail, particularly compared to five or six other Pac schools, but that's a different thread. In the Pac 12, I think I might favor Colorado to make a jump, particularly if Simpson 3.0 is as advertised. On the other hand, I'm really not sure what constitutes "making a jump" in the context of this thread.

Maryland will be much better, but their record will be much worse.

Especially in the PAC-12, saying schools like ASU and Colorado making the jump is really a handful of games. I don't see them getting over Stanford/Wash/USC and everyone else was in a big clump last year.
