Is Hodson #3?

Yes. I watched the second set. After a slow start Hodson had some nice hits. The setter only sets to the right side when she gets near perfect passes.
Who is #12 in the middle? She has amazing potential. The difference in the teams is the hitting and blocking from the middles.

The Poulter Alhassan connection is near lower level International already. Poulter gets up and sets quick and in a straight line and Alhassen gets over it and slams straight down. Very impressive. Once she improves on technique and reading the game...it would not shock me if she became one of the best middles in the world. She can already jump with anyone.

#4 on Cuba's got a bratty attitude, but man she's got a whip of an arm. Is that the 14-year old? Vargas?

Winners 3-0 In the past two matches, the US took down Cuba and DR, which both have opposites who are on the senior squads.

USA v. Cuba always a snippy match. Personally I think the economic blockade is way past it's effective date, and we are only making people miserable. Don't blame any any Cuban who celebrates sticking it to the US any legal way they can.

I thought the artificial noisemakers were very annoying. In the past I have wondered why there is a ban on them for college competition; but, now, I am so glad we don't have to listen to those things. Cheering is so much nicer.
Is there any history behind the "slide" that the team did for the photographer?
It looked cool.
And the STAR WARS theme - just made me smile from ear to ear!
That was fun to watch. Great volleyball.

Wow! So the tournament MVP and Best Blocker was Rhamat Alhassan! She looked amazing. And to think she's only played the game for three years! Talk about a bright future.
