Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the timing, but Michigan pulling in four Fab-50s seems to correlate to capitalizing on their final-four appearance a couple years ago. I think it's their most talented/regarded class in school history. Now if they'd just get rid of that super annoying PA announcer.

Psu just keeps Rollin in talent and I don't think it's gonna stop for awhile. A lot of people wanna play for Russ and their are others that like Rockwell. With them both there I think your gonna continue to get a tidalwave of players in there. Last time those two were together they built those teams that won 4 straight and had that ridiculous undefeated streak I hope you're not suggesting we just hand them the national championship before the season even starts. Didn't say that. Anything can happen any given year. I'm just saying that the possibility is there. Something to keep an eye on. With all those I comming freshman one would expect them to have rebuilding year, but if they go far or win it look out lol.

With all the early verbal commits and the sheer number of transfers that go on in NCAA sports, in general, it's hard to get too excited about any Top-Whatever recruiting class. 25 years ago you could say that class would stay together for 4 years and maybe rise to the top by the time they were seniors. Today, who knows? I wonder what the actual percentage is overall per class, in terms of how many athletes stay and play for a full 4 years at the school they original committed to. Why does that make it hard to get excited about a freshman class? All these freshman will be at their respective schools, not many girls decommit 2 months before the year starts. Not sure why the possibility of some transferring a few years down the line makes a new set of players less exciting.

I think it's their most talented/regarded class in school history. At least two of the four had verbally committed to Michigan prior to the run to the Final Four, so while it has definitely helped other talented players consider all that the UofM has to offer for 2015 and beyond, it would not be fair to say that the Final Four appearance led to the class of 2014.

Didn't Texas have any scholarships to give this year? 2...Cat McCoy libero from TAV, and a mb from Croatia. Only Cat could be considered for the ranking.

"C. The big 10 isn't getting a "larger share" of the talent per say, it's getting the same amount of players it always has, it's just that those players are getting better. They are mostly pulling kids from areas they have always pulled from, but the talent level in the juniors of the midwest and east is just as good or better than anywhere in the country, and has been for a while."
Just to highlight this point even more, this list of kids was posted in another thread, they are players reconigzed both as frehsmen and sophomores as highly talented prep players.
Briana Weber, 5-8 OH, Dike-New Hartford (Dike, Iowa) Alexa Smith, 6-0 OH, Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Colorado) Carly Skjodt, 6-1 OH, Carmel (Indiana) Samantha Seliger-Swenson, 5-11 S, Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minnesota) Maggie Rick, 5-9 Setter, Blessed Trinity Catholic (Roswell, Georgia) Beth Prince, 6-3 OH, Avon (Indiana) Jordyn Poulter, 6-1 S/OH, Eaglecrest (Centennial, Colorado) Leah Meyer, 6-3 MB, St. Mary’s (Lancaster, New York) Taylor Lord, 5-9 OH, Musselman (Inwood, West Virginia) Hayley Hodson, 6-2 OH, Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, California) Mikaela Foecke, 6-3 MB, Holy Trinity (Ft. Madison, Iowa) Briana Ainsworth, 5-7 S, Cleveland (Rio Rancho, New Mexico)
Look at how many midwest and east coast players are on this list. Sure there are always some players traveling across the country (both ways), but generally players tend to stick within their own geographical region.
